(🐇... hii loves! I'm so excited to be back again! school was getting a little too much so that's why I couldn't post :(
but after today I'll be able to post back again! <33 so without further ado, let's get started!)
1.0 PROCRASTINATION
I think many of us may have struggled with procrastinating, which is completely normal! I myself still struggle with this, but together I'm sure we'll find a solution that works for us personally, and that way we'll be able to eliminate procrastination, or at least decrease the act of it <3
1.1 WHAT IS PROCRASTINATION?
Procrastination refers to the act of delaying or postponing tasks or actions that need to be accomplished.
1.2 SOLUTIONS
♡ break tasks into smaller, manageable chunks
- this way the tasks will seem less difficult to complete. this is really helpful to improve consistency!
♡ set specific, achievable goals and deadlines
- this one is so important. it's the most easy yet helpful thing you can do. trust me, it's a total game changer and the best thing you can do to stay organised!
♡ create a schedule or to-do list to stay organised
- again, this is so helpful to stay organised and make sure you use your time to the fullest! try to make a schedule that fits your lifestyle and make your to-do lists realistic.
♡ elimine distractions and create a conductive work environment
I think the biggest reason why we procrastinate is because we are surrounded by too many distractions. try to put your phone away when you study/work or at least silence it. make a work environment where you can use your time wisely!
♡ use time management techniques
try to use the pomodoro technique or any other technique where you can use your time efficiently! please don't forget to take breaks since they'll keep us focused. many of us think that taking no breaks will make us finish our work faster, which is the complete opposite. taking no breaks will just lead to burn out. so please know when to take breaks! <3
♡ find motivation and reward yourself for completing tasks
once you find your source of motivation, which can be anything really, you'll be able to start. but you know what will keep you going? discipline. there will be days where you don't even want to wake up, but you need to have the discipline to get up and get that work done. by that I don't mean you can't give yourself a break, no, give yourself as much breaks as you want. just get the work done. and when you do, reward yourself! whether that is by watching an episode of your favourite show, going on a relaxing walk, etc. but don't associate work with rewards. this is a dangerous thing to do which can lead to a bad mentality. just be proud of yourself for finishing your work! <3
♡ seek accountability from a friend or colleague
having someone to keep you accountable is so helpful! try to study together in a library, or face time! this way you'll feel less alone and you'll even finish your work faster <3
2.0 IMPORTANT
!!! practice self-discipline and focus on the long-term benefits of completing tasks.
2.1 FINAL QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF
- what's your why? ; why do you study? why do you work so hard? find your why!
- which kind of motivation do you rely on? ; is it intrinsic or extrinsic motivation? intrinsic motivation comes from within, while extrinsic motivation arises from external factors. I will make a more detailed post on this!
2.2 REMINDER
Remember love, it takes effort and practice to overcome procrastination, so be patient and persistent! I believe in you, and you should too <3
bro I really can’t wait until I walk into the forests, hear the ancient whispers of chaotic entities beyond my frail minds recognition, slowly go mad and dissolve into the slumbering trees and never return to our modern and superficial society. bro I can’t wait make sure you bring a tent or something.
I opened the faery’s gift and immediately shrunk to a fraction of my size. I was soon enrobed in the soft petals of a rose in my garden, and so blessed by warm sun and a perfect perfumed canopy, all cares and woes and work were set aside in favor of napping in the flower’s depths.
