RUMPUS IS OUT!

Thank you to the 30 incredible artists who contributed to this project (including the moderation team)! We absolutely couldn't have done it without you and we're excited to share everyone's hard work with the world!

We hope everyone who took part in the project is proud of their work and takes a well-deserved rest. It's been a pleasure working with everyone on this for the past 8 months, making something more incredible than we could've ever imagined. We'd like to give a special shout out to those who animated for the first time, or came back to animation after a long time away, for this project as well!

To everyone else: Sit back, relax, and we hope you enjoy it!

JUST REALISED I LITERALLY NEVER POSTED MY COMPLETED SECTION OF THE GGG RUMPUS MAP??? JSHDFJSF ANYWAY here it is!!! I know most-most people probably watched it when it came out but if you didn't (or you just want to watch it again!!) the link is Right Here!!!

I know it was months ago now, but I was so happy to be able to work on it with everyone; the whole thing turned out incredible, and being a part of such a big project (especially the first multi animator project around for the game) was so fantastic!!!

A Great God Grove animation, set to a snippet of the song 'Rumpus' by Karen O and the Kids.

The video starts with the outstretched arms of Housecat Man, Lumber Jacqueline (who is holding Bug Wurth in her fist), Patchie, and Robart against a dark sky with falling confetti. The hands toss their own confetti—with Bug Wurth throwing confetti for Jacqueline and Robart also tossing Peeps the bird into the air.

The confetti continues to fall as the camera pans upwards, Peeps also trying to fly upwards quickly but eventually falling out of frame. The camera pans all the way up to a sky filled with stars, with Razzma sitting in the hand of King in her god-form, haloed by the moon. He turns to face the out-of-frame King with a smile before being lifted up, and the scene cuts to Razzma being lifted to King's face and hugging her cheek. King leans in and the eyes on her veil close with a smile.

my part for @ggg-rumpus-map!! i had the pleasure of working on the first half of the buzzhuzz section, with the incomparable @octobobble on backgrounds! eepy's bgs really brought the scenes to life ^^

i animated this entire bit in storyboard pro, the same program i do all my boards in; sbp is defintely Not for fully finished animations LOL but it was a really fun challenge, and i'm happy with how it came out! ^^

A SUPER SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO VOIDEDTEA for creating the absolutely stunning backgrounds (seriously-- WOW they're even animated!!!!), handling the shading, and for taking on the line art of the Kondle scene!!! this would not have happened without all of their hard work and support-- i'm so incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to work with them and the rest of the @ggg-rumpus-map crew to bring this beautiful project to life!

had so so so much fun putting them all together and learned so much on the way.... i think they might be some of my favourite pieces i've done this year, Period. be sure to have a look at the full project to see them in action [especially since some of them are animated there]!!

GET READY FOR THE RELEASE OF THE @ggg-rumpus-map TONIGHT at 6 pm PDT/ 9 pm EST!!! I got the opportunity to animate for this MAP this summer and life got really crazy during the time. Thank you so much Marc (@scribblemakes) for helping me finish up my part by coloring at the end. Marc and Rhi are amazing MAP organizers, producers and directors! They were so nice and accommodating when things went south. I wouldn’t have gotten this animation without their support! WATCH OUT FOR THE PREMIERE IN ONE HOUR!

Excited for the release of the @ggg-rumpus-map which'll release at 9pm est tonight! I have very little animation experience, so I was instead given the privilege of drawing the thumbnail! Thanks to Marc and Rhi for organizing and also being so patient with me as I had 1 william setbacks to me finishing it. Let the wild rumpus start!!!!

these are some screenshots from my part, it'll be up in ~8 hours CHECK IT OUT BECAUSE OH MY G RI E F EVERYONE'S PARTS LOOK GORGEOUS and ssooo much love went into it all, it's been incredible being part of a project with artists i've admired from a distance and meeting new ones I might've never known otherwise. Sketch vs lineart

This is from my part for the @ggg-rumpus-map! Which premiers soon here (it would be really cool if you'd check it out). I had so much fun with this project, it was my first time actually completing an animation from start to finish and I'm really proud of how it came out!

Emerging from my regularly scheduled radio silence to post this WIP comp before the Rumpus MAP comes out LATER TODAY!!! 🎉 🎂🎈YOU CAN FIND THE VIDEO PREMIERE RIGHT HERE!! Everyone has worked so hard; I highly recommend checking it out when it's released, because it all looks Grad A-mazing!! 🌈🐛🌟

A video compilation of different parts of the process for animating a section of the @ggg-rumpus-map Multi-Animator Project, set to the song ‘What Happens Next?’ from Great God Grove. The first part is a section of the rough board of the animation, showing hands (and Bugs Wurth grasped in what is meant to be Lumber Jacqueline’s hand) throwing confetti, before panning up to Razzma sitting in King’s hand. 

It then cuts to showing only Razzma’s head in an animated turn, sketched in different colours to differentiate frames. The turn animation is then shown in its final form, with colour and the backdrop of the night sky. 

After that, a timelapse that depicts the colouring of a frame of Razzma being lifted up to King’s face is shown, with the finished frame at the end. A brief sketch animation of Razzma hugging King’s face as King leans in is then drawn over it, before the video cuts to an end card covered in little doodles of stars and King’s face that reads ‘Thank you for watching! Go check out the full animation put together by ggg-rumpus-map!’. ‘Clatter-pillar’ is also written at the bottom, with a headshot the artist’s sona above it. The screen fades to black as the music fades.

20 hours until RUMPUS' release!

After 8 months, all the hard work, love, and dedication people have put into this, it's exciting to see it finally come to fruition.

To all out followers from day one: thank you for sticking with us! To anyone only seeing this now, welcome in, and check our blog if you want to know more!

Either way... we hope you're just excited as we are to see this project in action, so keep an eye on its premiere!
