@ghastly-faery
Okay tell me your zodiac signs and which snack is the WORST
Megamind the musical would slap though:Â
The transition between kid Megamind and adult Megamind being the kid Megamind blowing up the school and adult Megamind emerging from the blue smoke in full villain costume, complete with manic laughterÂ
Roxanneâs opening number being her trying to write a piece for the museum opening âAn ocean inside a bigger oceanâŚâÂ
A reprise of the above song when sheâs singing about Megamind and her confused feelings for him
Megamind and Roxanneâs sad duet in the rain âLove Someone Like You/Love Someone Like MeâÂ
BLACK MAMBAAAAAAAAAAAA
Halâs evil rampage song âUnder New Management.âÂ
Megamind and Minionâs duet about their weird but special friendshipÂ
Metromanâs âI have eyes that can seeâ starting off silly but slowly transitioning into a sad ballad about how, unlike Megamind, heâs never loved his assigned role and wants to be his own person, doing what he loves
âIâm Badâ being the closing number
I love âhow do you do math?â questions. Hereâs how my brain does it:
How about you guys?
I FILMED MYSELF READING THIS TWITTER POST AND I HAVENâT BEEN ABLE TO STOP LAUGHING
Yâall want to see something wild?

READ. EVERY. WORD. OF. THIS. Account of a medical team out in St. Paul last night.
Link to original tweet thread.
unrelated to last post but topical: as the child of lawyers, I got one thing drilled into me from age 10: donât fucken talk to cops. never talk to cops.
Donât talk to cops about insignificant things, itâs a trick to get you into a talking-mode to gradually work to more sensitive questions.
Donât talk to workers inside a police station (medics, cleaners, people bringing bitter cold coffee), assume theyâre all cops.
If you absolutely must talk to a medic, deliver your essential medical information to them in one sentence and go back to âno commentâ after that. Do not get in a conversation.
Donât accept a lawyer offered by the cops or a lawyer you donât know. ONLY take the lawyer provided by the activist organization youâre part of and ask to see their ID. Do not believe people who claim they represent the same firm. If in doubt, keep your mouth shut.Â
I've been detained. I've been arrested. I know the instinct when you're around other human beings is to try to relate to them on a human level. I get it, being detained is scary, you're in cuffs, maybe you're in the back of a squad car, or in a van in the event of mass arrest. The first thing you're going to want to do is just... Talk to someone. Anyone. To remember that we're all human here, or to try to win them over.
Don't. Cops aren't people. They aren't your friends, and they aren't there to protect you. They're the bloodhounds of the state. Every comment is a hint, every question has ulterior motives, and they are just trying to pump your for information.
The coffee is a trick, your one call is monitored, they are not your fucking friends. You're an enemy combatant and every single interaction you have with them is a component of an interrogation. Close your mouth, ask for legal counsel, and always remember, cops aren't just allowed to lie to you, it's one of their favorite things to do.
you cannot win a cop over. you cannot befriend a cop. a cop does not see you as a person, they see you as a perpetrator - you should view them the same.
Also be careful about anyone in the same arrest van / cell as you because - cops are known to put undercovers in cells to interrogate the arrested - everything is monitored all the time
Comfort and support your comrades, but do not share personal details or discuss anything that could be used against you.
itâs not about that i know how to do laundry. itâs that when i was four i knew how to fold clothes; small hands working alongside my mother, while my older brother sat and played with his toys. itâs that i know what kind of detergent works but my father guesses. itâs that in my freshman year of college i had a line of boys who needed me to show them how to use the machine. itâs that the first door they knocked on belonged to me. itâs that they expected me to know.
itâs not that i know how to cook. itâs that the biggest christmas present i got was a little plastic kitchenette i never used except to climb on. itâs that my brother used it more, his hands ghosting over pink buttons and yellow dials. itâs that when my work needs cake for a birthday, they turn to me. i get it from costco. i donât even like cooking. a boy burns popcorn in the dorm microwave and laughs. a week later, i do the same thing, and he snorts at me, âjust crossed you off my wife list.â itâs that i had heard something like this so many times before that i laughed, too.
itâs not that i donât love being feminine. itâs that i came home with bruises from trying to be a trick rider on my bike and heard the word âtomboy,â felt my little mouth say, âbut iâm not a boy, iâm a girlâ. itâs that they laughed. itâs that until i was sitting in my pretty dress and smiling with a big pretty smile and blinking my big pretty eyes, i wasnât given back the title âgirlâ. itâs that until i wore makeup and styled my hair i was bullied; itâs that when i donât wear makeup iâm a slob, that my mental health diagnosis hangs on the hook of being dressed up. itâs that my therapist sees me returning to bright red lipstick and tells me i am looking happier and i have to explain that i am more sad than i have ever been. itâs that i dress myself in as many layers as i can every time i ride a train because itâs better to be laughed at than harassed.Â
itâs not that i know how to clean, itâs that my brotherâs chores were outside where i wanted to be, and mine were inside. itâs that i would have weeded the garden better than he did if they had just let me. itâs that i am put in charge of fixing otherâs messes, expected to comply without complaint.
itâs not that i canât open the jar. itâs that you ask my brother first every time. itâs that i am pushed into docile positions, trained to believe that my body when itâs strong and healthy is ugly, trained into being less, weaker. itâs that the jar is also science, is also engineering, is also every job, every opportunity. itâs that you laugh faster when he tells a joke, that you take him seriously but wave off me, that when he raises his voice heâs assertive but when i do iâm hysterical. the jar is getting into a car with a stranger as a driver and wondering if this is our last ride. the jar is knowing that if something happens to us, itâs our fault.Â
itâs that iâm weak and i donât know if itâs because i just am or i was trained to be. itâs that we need to sit pretty with our pretty smiles and our pretty words trapped pretty and silent in our throats, our hands restless but pretty when idle, our bodies vessels for nothing but a future white dress. itâs that we are taught someone else needs to open the jar for us.
hereâs the secret: run metal lids under hot water, theyâll expand faster than the glass theyâre around. hereâs the secret: when you keep us under hot water, we do more than boil. we expand over our edges. and we learn how to open our mouths, our claws, our screams hanging in kites over cities. just give me a chance. give me a chance when i am four when i am seven when i am twenty-three. i promise i can be amazing. give me the jar. iâll show you something.
you werenât a âwell behavedâ child you had anxiety and were terrified of conflict
âa pleasure to teachâ on the report card meant obedient to a fault, a constant need to be perfect to keep âa pleasure to teachâ on the report card, realizing you werenât as perfect a student as you thought when school got tough, and your perfectionism and paralyzing fear of âgetting in troubleâ is so deeply ingrained in you that you procrastinate everything because if it isnât perfect, you shouldnât try at all
The internet is unsafe for children
If youâre 15 or under and youâre making nsfw jokes on the regular, you need to step back and realize that is not normal, that is not a good example of productive internet usage
If youâre 16 and you have a âkink listâ there is something wrong with how the internet has affected you. Take a step back and assess yourself
oh yeah teenagers, that famously unhorny demographic
before the internet, who ever heard of teenagers making ânsfwâ jokes? definitely nobody, and not literally everybody, at every opportunity, in every era, throughout history
teenagers thinking about sex?? teenagers talking about sex?? teenagers wanting to learn about sex and their own emerging sexual desires?? god damn the internet for this plague upon our youth
this post could have been about sexual grooming and predation on the internet, a serious issue that genuinely does make the internet an unsafe place for young people who may not know how to spot when they are being manipulated for sexually abusive purposes, but thankfully it is about the far more serious issue of 16 year olds knowing what kinky stuff they think is hot
suffering from cheek kisses deficiency (self diagnosed)
The world wasn't ready for Megamind in 2010. I think it could be ready now. After seeing the same superhero arc in every Marvel movie, the squandered subversion in expectations from Game of Thrones, the tired consistent revamps of previously done ideas from Disney,, I petition that we just rerelease Megamind in theaters again. No changes at all. Just toss it back in there and let people experience culture and class for the first time in their lives
