Connect: Our muses are talking by video call
It was rather hilarious, the face Alvin was making as he waited for Callan to answer the video call. They were in different towns, seeing as how Alvin had to ghost hunt back home for a bit thanks to the full moon, but he knew that he'd be back to visit his friend. With his tongue out and his eyes rolling to the back of his head, he heard the call answered and started waving his arms at his sides.
Callan's laughter was heard as someone described what Alvin was doing on the screen. "You're such a dork." Callan said, causing the ghost hunter to laugh before looking to the screen. "You can't see me but I'm waving." He told him, knowing that his friend would smile. "How's everything on your end?" Alvin asked, picking up his cup of coffee to take a sip.
"It's going great! My book's being published and should hit the shelves soon." He said, smiling a bit brighter as he sat next to the person telling him what Alvin was doing.
Alvin smiled brightly, holding up his mug in a congratulatory manner. "Awesome, Cal! I can't wait to read it. I know I'll be the first in line for you to sign it." He told him, hoping his friend would seem a bit excited.
"Sure, Alvin. I'll be sure to write how much of a dork you are." Callan joked, laughing a bit before settling more into the chair. "So, how's the hunting business back home? Doing well for yourself?"
"Kind of, it's not as exciting as I'd like it to be. I mean, it's mostly spirits and their are so fucking many of them! I had to tackle an entire library and then a mansion for those things." Alvin mentioned, smiling as he looked into his cup of coffee. "I kinda miss being back there with everyone. I know I'm almost done here, though."
"Awesome! When you come back, we'll go out and have a crap load of fun!" Callan offered excitedly, causing Alvin to laugh softly before looking back up to the screen. "Sounds like a plan."
Then, just as Callan's friend was looking at the screen, a ghost walked right behind Alvin and Callan's friend screeched in fear. Stumbling away from the screen, she screamed out "GHOST!"
Alvin turned from the screen to look and see what was going on behind him. Callan raised a brow, curious as to what was going on. "Hey, Al? What's going on?" Alvin smirked, turning to look at the screen while looking to both of them. "It's just my dad. I am at my childhood home so it's not surprise she saw a ghost, especially since I was raised by one."
"YOU WERE WHAT?!" The woman screamed, clutching her chest. "My dad, I was raised by him and my mother even after he passed away." Alvin explained, feeling a bit sheepish. "Hey, Al. Bring him to the camera, I wanna talk to him." Callan said, hopefully being able to convince Alvin to do so.
Alvin smiled, waving over his dad who sat in a chair next to his son. "Hello..." Alvin's dad's voice echoed in a usual ghost's tone, a smile on his face. "Alvin's been tellin' me all about you."
As time passed, Callan talked to Alvin's dad while his friend seemed to finally warm up to the spiritual being. Alvin smiled, holding his dad's hand to show that he cared about him. This call started out boring, then suspenseful, now...it was ending in a moment of curiosity and happiness. It was bliss.
