Remus curling up on the potters' couch after a full moon and everyone is careful not to disturb him. When Harry asks Lily and James about what happened they just tell him he is sick. So now Harry is is doing all the stuff Lily does to him when he is sick. Placing his hand on Remus's forehead even though the one year old has so idea what it's for. Placing a wet towel on said forehead. Placing a thermometer in Remus's mouth and reading the random numbers with full seriousness. Pestering his mom to make Remus warm soup which she already made in the first place. Harry covering Remus with his favourite blanket and surrounding him with stuffed toys and sticking stickers on his hands and face whispering 'get well soon uncle moony' under his breath.

remus rear-ends sirius’s stupid expensive motorbike at a red light because he was distracted by how unfairly attractive the rider looked fixing his helmet. sirius gets off the bike ready to yell, takes one look at remus’s panicked face and the ancient falling-apart car, and just starts laughing. “relax, love. bikes are meant to get banged up. you on the other hand look like you’re about to cry, which is doing terrible things to my ego”

I love All the Young Dudes but a part that I'll always reread is, what I think is the last happy scene before the war breaks out and that includes Remus voicing the match I think it's the getaway at beach when they get together get drunk from muggle beer stay around the fire to watch the sunset and eventually the moon rising. I especially like when Remus holds his breath for a moment, looks around and then admits he doesn't care for girls because he would never date one. I love how James gets all protective over him. I love wolfstar post smoke break.

Even though I cant bring myself to read past that point again I love all the young dudes

My favorite thing about our good friend Kevin Day is that he has earned every right to be a bitch. Like his ego is through the roof because he’s the best of the best. He won the championships when he played with the Ravens. Then Riko broke his hand, he transferred to Palmetto (the smallest and most dysfunctional collegiate team) and the second he actually started playing again, the foxes won the fucking championship. Like yeah if I pulled that off my ego would be the size of the fucking moon too.

Also his mom literally created the sport so…

i love the idea of remus doing sirius’s shopping while sirius is stuck at work. he shows up looking cozy enough to spend the day reading by a fireplace and immediately starts picking out low rise bootcut jeans and skin tight leather trousers. every person in that shop assumes he’s buying them for himself, so no wonder they keep giving him funny looks

when remus and sirius have a really bad argument, sirius tries to initiate something sexual because he can’t stand listening to remus yell at him. he asks remus to be rough, to take his anger out on him, and remus goes along with it at first because he’s still furious.

but halfway through, remus realizes sirius isn’t doing this because he wants sex. he’s doing it because he thinks he deserves to be punished.

so remus stops. he just lies down beside him and pulls him close, pressing soft kisses to his forehead and cheeks while sirius looks completely confused.

and remus tells him that arguments aren’t punishments. that people who love each other are allowed to be angry with each other. that fighting is supposed to help them understand each other better, not hurt each other.

because that’s what sirius learned growing up that conflict means pain, that love has to be earned back through suffering and remus wants him to know that with him, it never will
