⚜ · 到着
She isn’t the only one arriving that afternoon, there’s several mask clad Ghouls arriving one by one. Important leaders with their entourage as well as lone ghouls seemingly appearing out of nowhere; herself being one of the latter ones. Despite Nina being one of the Abraxas, she arrives alone, mask hiding her face and clad in black from head to toe. Yet, due to last years event, and despite arriving alone without an entourage, her arrival is noted by several of the ghouls present. Even some of her own Eos member are there to spectate on the event, jumping slightly as she arrives quietly, hurriedly lowering they heads in a sign of respect. She nods to them, moving forward as the ghouls around her speak in hushed voices, stealing glances at her. Nina pays them no mind, she sees no point in confronting them or give any kind of attention towards it. It was in most of their nature to talk about others, in a revering tone or otherwise— people rarely changed. (Ghouls included)
Keeping her gaze forward, she continued to make her way through the crows until a persons voice caught her attention. “Miss Claw, welcome.” The woman’s voice and face is unfamiliar, but as written out in the invitation, she sports a black cross on her hand. “Allow me to escort you to your accommodation, if you’d please.” The female gestured towards a waiting car, the door already open and ready for her. Nina glances at the car before looking back at the female, finding her smile more and more unpleasant the longer she looked at it. Yet this week there was no bloodshed allowed, and rather than walking— the car ride seemed much more pleasant. Giving a slight nod to the waiting female, Nina climbed into the car wordlessly as the door slammed shut on her left. ‘Might as well get there comfortably’, she mused, leaving her carry-all on the passenger seat next to her.
The scene they drove past was idyllic, most of the island was covered by forest and patches of farmed land; a stark contrast to the city life Nina was accustomed to. It fascinated her, as to how the humans who lived her behaved versus humans in city did. It woke a genuine curiosity in her, almost giddy in her seat had it not been for her mask it would surely been written all over her face. Lost in her own thoughts (How would humans living in the country react to a dead body found in the fields?), she failed to notice that they pulled into the hotels driveway. The female with a cross on the back of her arm stepped out of the car before Nina could move, quickly opening the car door. She supposed she couldn’t expect less of the Gourmet, both the hotel and the service; they always claimed to be luxurious. Grabbing her bag, she stepped out already taking a few steps towards the door before the unknown female spoke up. “Some events have already begun or will begin in short time, we hope you enjoy your stay.” And with that almost eerie smile, she bowed low once before disappearing back into the car. Nina wanted to sigh, she’d liked no better than to go human watching than look upon as Ghouls ripped each other apart.
However, that was the one thing she couldn’t do right now. Letting out a small tsk, she walked towards the hotel door, fishing out her key card to check what room they had placed her in. “411”, she muttered before showing it back into her pocket. Well at least they had been smart enough not to place her on ground level.
