Drafting is really fun because you get to see your own characters go from “WE’RE NOT SUMMONING THE DEVIL” to “WE’RE SUMMONING THE DEVIL” in record speed

Any recommendations for getting into Elona/ElonaPlus/Elin/etc? I remember trying some version of ElonaPlus a very long ago and finding it Very Overwhelming, so I'm curious if there's a way to get into it that's Relatively Beginner-Friendly.

download elona+ from here and extract it to a folder. this is where your game's gonna be

go here, scroll down, and download the .zip file

drag the files from that zip right into that folder we just made

accept all replacements that it prompts you to, since this is patching the game

you can now play elona+!

if you want a pretty tileset and some other graphical tweaks, you can download Beautify here. just patch it onto your game

there are a few sprite sheets and replacements out there for things like monstergirls, but if you want those, you'll have to go looking for them yourself, since each version update usually requires a new sheet

if you want some extra options for the game (and some extra windows for things like companion health monitoring and midi playback control) you can download Elona Extender as a patch over here

play elona like a wiki game and look everything up. elona+ in particular has sprawled so far out now that it's not much of a roguelike and kind of expects you to be playing it more as a long-session sandbox jrpg
