Lunchtime Sketch
The Oracle - This was both fun and frustrating to do. It's an attempt to combine two things I'm really interested in; the techniques of the impressionist painters like Sargent and the possibilities of 3D for illustration. I used a combination of Zbrush, 3DsMax, Bitmap2Material, Mental Ray, Akvis, and Photoshop to achieve this. Apart from modeling stuff myself in Zbrush (the cloth) and building the environment in 3DsMax, I also used some assets from Daz3D, TurboSquid, and CGtextures. However I did not use and photographs and tried to paint a lot of the stuff in that the original render missed. I wanted to see how far I could push Mental Ray and was very disappointing with the render times (a whole day) and I think that in the future I will switch to either Keyshot, Redshift, or Octane. There are a few things that I hope to improve on in the future but It's been a great learning experience that I hope I can share, if anyone is interested, with everyone at some point.
I had a go art turning my concepts into Gifs, much fun was had.
Check out this great concept art piece by Gilles Ketting created with SketchUp 3D-Coat/KeyShot and Photoshop. http://goo.gl/XRmHy7
Abettors of the Beast - Concept Art for a cancelled short film in 2015.
Ashen Falls - Concept Art for My Psychological Horror Game. “Ashen Falls is a psychological survival horror game set in the deserted industrial town of Ashen Falls. A group of urban explorers descend to explore the area, only to find it is not as abandoned as they thought. You play as Lucy "Haze" Williams, the game's main protagonist. It's been more than a year after she lost her girlfriend in a house fire and is taking the first steps to continue life without her. Lucy feels that a part of herself died in that fire, she struggles with her own identity and place in the world. In an attempt to leave her comfort zone and follow her passion for photography she embarks on a trip with a group of urban explorers to Ashen Falls.”

After that amazing theory about the role of Jar Jar in the prequels I had to make this.
I'm excited to present the first images of my project; Ashen Falls. It's a concept art project for a psychological survival horror game that I hope one to take into production one day. In the meantime I'll upload new art on a regular basis. Please have a look at the facebook page to the latest updates and news https://www.facebook.com/ashenfalls
Total War Battles: Kingdom - Last year I had the pleasure to work on this game which is now in public Beta! It's the first time I actually got to design and paint the cover of one of the games I've worked on, I feel honoured.
Inktober? Rather Orctober!
After all the controversy over a certain Spider-woman cover I thought it would be nice to do a "proper" Spiderwoman cover. Would you buy this?
DPD - Military Police
Karmen Chrysalis - She runs the unregistered Klone underground. She facilitates any "HD" trapped in "Nirwana" with a Klone-body. Well, anyone that can pay her price. Her decorative skin augmentation also functions as a identity-morpher making it hard for her facial features to be traced OC-TV.
Night Watch - Bolton Better Run! I was imagining Jon Snow retaking Winterfell with a little help from a friendly giant. Done for the Super Speedpainting Funtimes over on Facebook.
One of the lost souls, a Dark Souls inspired sketch.
The House of Hathor, was a long held sanctuary for the elderly and weak. Known for it's crop-growing and clothing making Sisters of Hathor. A notorious "wave" (a group of mercenaries, swordsmen and skilled fighters) forced entrance and took over, turning the once so peaceful House in an outpost full of thieves, whores and the desperate. Welcome to New-Hathor.
