“TURN” Pilot Alternate Opening

I saw a post months ago now about how cool it would’ve been if the pilot had opened with Nathan Hale’s hanging and what an amazing set up for the rest of the show it would be, so for a quick fun distraction for myself I decided to put together an alternate cold open for the pilot based on that. ((If you know where the post originated, please let me know so I can give credit! I’ve looked for it and haven’t been able to find it))

The whole thing is waaay too long for tumblr’s video uploading limits, and I er…ran into some copyright trouble when I tried Youtube lol so I’ve put the mp4 in a Google Drive folder here for anyone to watch. The quality is not top notch but I hope you enjoy anyways!!

to simplify: churches are forbidden to promote specific political parties or candidates, in order to maintain tax-exempt status.  no religious institution is allowed to make explicit political statements, including “this party is bad,” “this party is good,” “you should vote for x,” “you should not vote for x,” or “let’s raise money for x political party or campaign.”  all of those things are super illegal!  if they’re going to act as a political entity, they need to pay taxes like any other political entity!  report their asses!!!!
