Now.. A word from the creator of GDM...

This is @worldtravelerbuff also known as GingaSoldier from Silver Fang Fandubs. I do the voices of Hoiler and Ryo from Ginga Densetsu Weed and Gin from Ginga Nagareboshi Gin for the UNOFFICIAL English Dub of GDW and GNG and other voices for non-Ginga projects . Now i'm the creator and author for the upcoming project Ginga Densetsu Moonlight. For me and the character of Moonlight, it all started a long time ago (not sure when and my best guess) when I first discovered Ginga Nagareboshi Gin and Ginga Densetsu Weed on YouTube. Both of the anime were the first anime(s) that I watched in another language, not English long before Silver Fang Fandubs. And while watching that's when the spark ignited and decided to create my own Ginga OC. I first thought of creating my own Ginga character combining both wolf and dog together and that's how I created Moonlight. 

Back then, I first created Moonlight from a wolf/canine creator generator on DeviantArt (RIP Adobe Flash Player). Couple of the features from the character creator generator that I first created for Moonlight was adding the black tail tip, the red-orange eye color . As for her scars and the moon shape, I added those in and Moonlight was born. Then I decided that Moonlight would use the family technique known as the Battouga. Then later I started coming up with names for the other characters such as Samurai, Striker, Hana, Taji, Shika, Kuri, Ran and others. Also I started coming up with Moonlight's story of how Moonlight's mother (Hana) got separated from a storm and landed on a faraway island (Hawaii), Striker rescuing Hana and taking care of her. Hana tells Striker her story about living in Japan, the legends of Ohu, her mate Samurai, her separation from Samurai while during the storm, etc  and later down the road both of them fall in love becoming mates while Hana still loves Samurai and Moonlight was born, etc.

 It would be later that I joined Silver Fang Fandubs and I showed them Moonlight, the other characters, the story, etc. And they loved it including @sueticnoyabo, one of the cast members from Silver Fang Fandubs and now an editor for GDM. Also a couple of the members of Silver Fang Fandubs @wannabegamergirl100 , @theboysfromaustin, a little editing help from @sueticnoyabo including myself collaborated an animatic video known as ZETSU TENROU BATTOUGA and it’s still wip. Suetic and I would DM each other on Discord exchanging ideas, tweaking and updating the story/characters, etc, adding new characters, etc. And now I'm looking forward to the future of this passion project that is coming to life and I'm excited for it.  I would like to thank the creator of the Ginga series Yoshihiro Takahashi for inspiring me to create my own Ginga series. More to come in the future for this amazing project and can’t wait for you to come along on this amazing journey with us as we set out to new and familiar places in a brand new story into  the world of Ginga....

Hey everyone, Nicole Burdick (Aries) here Recently i had to start all over on my Tumblr page after being scammed and hacked on my old account, and now I can't gain access to it, and that's the reason why I have been absent for a while. To anyone who has followed me on my old Tumblr account, if you got a message from someone that came from my old Tumblr account, that's not me. It was the person who tried to scam me, hacked my blog, and is trying to make other victims give their personal information. And most importantly, a lesson I learned…NEVER SHOW YOUR BANK HISTORY AND BALANCE. I have contacted real help from Tumblr @staff and am still waiting for a response. I apologise again for being absent for a while and to my followers for following me.

But don't worry, I'm still here. and will still keep you updated on the GDM project, and @sueticnoyabo (Luke) will keep you updated as well!

GDM Featured Artist: mahemo-art

I recently commissioned an artwork from @mahemo-art at Erie ComiCon earlier this month. When I first discovered this artist, I was immediately drawn to their unique art style. After some thought, I decided to request a piece featuring GDM.

Next, I envisioned what the scenery would look like and chose the background shown above. I provided the artist with character information, descriptions, notes, and additional reference images to help create the commission. The final result turned out fantastic!

It’s essential to note that the bear character will play a pivotal role in the story, alongside the elements in the background, including the scenery behind Moonlight.

GDM Featured Artist: mathes0n

Back on March 8th at a one-day con event, I decided to ask an artist which is the one you see above the title @mathes0n to draw both Aries and Luke using battle abilities that I and Suetic headcanon for Aries and Luke. So they did a sketch commission for it and it turned out amazing.

Here are the abilities that I headcanon for Aries: - the star marks on her right side/her face and the Zodiac sign on her forehead can glow - Ram horns do appear; but as constellations/starlight, like the constellation of Aries themselves

I also had these ideas for Aries, I imagine for Aries that she has power upgrades - she embodies Aries (the actual constellation) in constellation form

she actually turns into a ram with constellations/starlight all over it like Aries

Headcanon abilities for Luke:

Luke is like a light ninja while holding a kunai in their mouth (note: Suetic is a fan of shōnen series with ninja and samurai action) Also, the name meaning for Luke is 'light' - Luke can also turn into an angel similar to Lucifer the Lightbringer

GDM Featured Artist: DemonDog.Hazard

Hey everyone, Aries here! Sorry that I haven't posted anything for a while. But I'm here to present the next GDM featured artist which you see in the title above.

A while back on the Furry Amino, I participated in a giveaway that someone (Hazard) was putting together. First place was a Ref sheet, Icon, and Badge art bundle of your Fursona choice. 2nd place was Ref sheet and icon and 3rd was Badge art. But sadly a lot of people didn't join. It was just me and another person who joined. I won 2nd place and the other person won 1st place. So I thought about which character to pick for the prize and decided to pick Aries of course. So I gave Hazard references pics and notes for Aries so they know how to draw her and what you see above turned out amazing.

Original/Redraw Moonlight drawings

What you are seeing are drawings of the protagonist herself Moonlight! The one on the left is the OG drawing of Moonlight that started it all and the right is the redraw version of it.

For the original drawing as a reference/inspiration, I used Aleu from the Balto 2 DVD art cover to draw Moonlight

As for the cliff, I drew it from a cover of an old drawing guidebook that showed you how to draw animals but also how to animate them. It's called "Tezuka School of Animation: Vol. 2 Animals in Motion".

and yes I even drew Moonlight a collar at first before I decided to make her collarless.

For the redraw, I used a tutorial from Dragoart.com to show you how to draw anime wolves in different styles like facial expressions, eyes, etc.

So I've been researching the site for tutorial ideas to do and thankfully, I've found one that I've yet to complete (until now). We all know

and also how to draw a wolf standing on a cliff on the same drawing guide that I used for the redraw.

And of course in true Ginga style, I drew the open-mouth style for Moonlight.

Recently they stopped by at the Ginga discord server and was looking for any art request freebies to practice their art. So, i raised my hand (virtually). GDM Featured Artist: AbberzArtz

So, I’m here to present the next GDM featured artist/art piece as you saw the title: AbberzArtz/Abberzartz

Back in September i met them at one of the local anime conventions close by from where i live. So, i thought about it of what to commission them and decided to commission them to do Moonlight. Got the final product emailed to me back in Dec and loved it!  Their artstyle (like the one above) has a unique art style w/ the shading and highlights along w/ the large ears as part of their artstyle as well. I also commission them doing a traditional headshot badge of Aries (My Gingasona) (final product coming soon)

GDM Featured Artist: AlyssaWellsArts/AAW Arts

So i’m here to present the next GDM featured artist/art piece as you saw the title: AAW Arts.

  I met them in May while i was at a local anime convention close by from where i live and saw their amazing art pieces in the art style of stain glass windows like the one you are seeing. There were other pieces of media that they drew into stain glass windows; Steven Universe, Code Lyoko, Sonic, Pokemon. Avatar The Last Airbender, etc. They also do book bindings, stickers and more. So, i decided to commission them of doing an art piece of the theme of Ginga Densetsu Moonlight. So, i thought about of what the art piece would look like and decided to commission the art piece that you are seeing above which i also called it “Moonlight Prophecy” I gave them references, pics, etc for research when they are getting ready to create the digital art piece which it turned out beautifully in the end which you are seeing. 

Also not saying much about GDM project itself, but this art piece might be important to the story...

GDM Featured Artist: Mao Luna

So, i decided to put anyone who created any type of piece of art media in their own art style for Moonlight and/or the other characters, etc. for GDM and credit them of course. And here’s the first featured artist: Mao Luna and their before and after version art pieces of Moonlight.

I first got this art piece a while back as an art request from Silver Fang Legend Amino.

And here’s an after version of Moonlight. I got this last year for an YCH art request last year on the Sliver Fang Fandubs when Mao joined the server if anyone was interested to have a character or OC drawn and i raised my hand (virtually). So, Mao and I chatted on DM of which character to be drawn for the art piece and i picked Moonlight of course. So, i showed them the ref art sheet by Ritka. I also showed them pics of a wolf, Kishu-Inu and an Akita to get a good idea of what Moonlight looks like with three species together.
