So despite the fact that i did not modify the armseye or sleeve of this pattern, the sleeve is like an inch too big at the armseye

Idk what happened

Im pretty sure the original pattern has no pleats or gathers at the sleeve.

Fortunately i have some options, since i left the sleeve as it’s too long original form i can just take that length out from the top

Or i can narrow the whole sleeve

one thing they added to coco and qifrey meeting for the first time in the anime that I like is that they initially give qifrey this brief awkward nod as a reaction as she turns up

just kind of blank and watchful/strange before the smile comes online as she's apologizing

both as his normal 'just a lil professor guy don't worry about it :)' deal but also because he's genuinely charmed/amused by her once he gets over his surprise, I think.

in the manga there's less of a sense of even a subtle shift between attitudes like that to my eyes (he just looks mildly surprised/perhaps slightly concerned)

but the anime addition does make SO much sense the more we get to know him. that is a moment of 'shit this wasn't in the script uh hang on' from someone already a bit uncomfortable in a social situation if ever I saw it haha. they give us just the barest hint of his wariness long before it starts to make full sense to us.
