this is the only time since i've been active as a good omens blog on tumblr that i've genuinely considered deactivating. people are being so fucking mean, both to and about each other, all because of differences of opinion about the finale. i'm really, really disappointed to see this. the good omens fandom has felt like a safe space for a lot of people for so long, and i can tell you that it certainly does not feel safe for many of us right now.

like a lot of people, i personally can see the merit in lots of different perspectives (and my reblogs have shown that). i'm not saying people should all agree, but why the fuck is it worth being nasty over? we all love aziraphale and crowley. that's why we're here. that's what i keep reminding myself, but this divisiveness is making the aftermath of the s2 final fifteen look positively rosy in comparison. it's also making the heartbreak many of us are feeling harder to deal with - which is the opposite of what fandom should be for.
