I finished the book and movie yesterday. I enjoyed the movie much more than expected. Nicholas Galitzine as Henry made it for me. He’s hidden depths and emotions written all over his face as he falls in love and grapples with coming out.

I’m seeing a lot of praise for Perez but he was too flat for me. And the complete political fantasy world of the book was softened a bit through streamlined story telling in a movie, which was easier for my cynical mind to absorb. 🤨😁

All of this is just fodder for joining the fandom, anyway! Mission accomplished!
