@blaka-smoko thank you for tagging me!
Last Book: I'm halfway through CJ Cherryh's Downbelow Station and intermittently working my way through a Japanese poetry collection (From the Country of Eight Islands). The last thing I actually finished was several terrible and indulgent webnovels.
Last Song: MUNA's Dancing On The Wall on repeat for the last 3 days.
Last Series: I watch TV approximately never so I think it was my last annual rewatch of Leverage.
Last Videogame: Dave the Diverrrrrr, which has been consuming my life for almost 2 weeks now.
Sweet or Salty: I love food so it really depends on the day... salty might edge out sweet overall.
Coffee or Tea: Coffee! I love tea too, though. When I was 20(?) I was like, everyone keeps saying coffee is an acquired taste, that must mean I can acquire it if I keep drinking it, right? And yeah, turns out you can just do that hahaha.
Working On: Does going through my apartment in preparation for moving count? The owner is moving into my unit (womp) which I really mad about until recently, but I found a place ridiculously close to [insert body of water here] that's somehow in my range so I've come around to it. Gonna miss my neighborhood though. I also have been getting into running (working on 10k!) and birding recently. Every stereotype about what hobbies you pick up in your late 20s/30s is true about me.

I'm literally working outside of work hours rn (taking a lil break) to enter plover data bc these little buggers are so busy rn I spend all of my time in the field
I adore that this got in front of someone who was indeed working plovertime.

BLM has published a plan to maximize logging in Oregon forests, including old growth forests, without due regard to wildlife (including endangered species) and waterways. They're claiming it will help prevent forest fires, though that seems to be contrary to current science, including that published by the forest service (you can find a list of sources here). This is in response to Trump's executive orders 14223, Addressing the Threat to National Security From Imports of Timber, Lumber, and Their Derivative Products and 14225, Immediate Expansion of American Timber Production.
We have 30 days to submit comments if we want to prevent this. This article has suggestions for what you can say, and how:
One billion board feet per year... 30 days to make your voice heard.
You can read more about it here:
Conservationists say proposal to “maximize” logging across nearly 2 million acres of Western Oregon BLM lands would devastate fish, wildlife
If you live in Oregon and you love our forests, please submit a comment before March 23rd.
If you don't live here, it would be super helpful if you could reblog to spread the word.
