The Beautiful One, the long hair or the slim waist or the pretty eyes or the lips like bowstrings. This woman looks good in everything because she’s confident in whatever you put her in. She’ll cut her hair short on you no matter how you like it, she’ll wear high heels and step on your opinions, she’ll look hot as hell no matter what size she is. See, the reason you can’t trust her is because women like this don’t need your permission, they’ll do as they please and get away with it. They’ll say no to you, over and over. Teach your daughters that beautiful means dangerous, teach them to distrust women who love themselves. Equate beautiful with vapid, equate pretty with stupid, take their power from them. Say they’re vain for their makeup, refuse to see them without it. These women are snakes, they are serpents. I said maybe the problem lies with you being unable to control yourself and was told to get off my pedestal. (x)

i’m gonna say it i think serena is genuinely a nice person. i know she’s problematic and so is everyone on that show, but she genuinely doesn’t want to hurt anyone & she wants everyone around her to feel comfortable. she can be a little head in the clouds & naive as to if she’s hurting someone or not, but it’s never her actual intention. she doesn’t want to make anyone feel bad, and honestly parts of her personality like that goes so well with blair’s in contrast. she can be petty, she can hurt someone if they’ve hurt her first, but she generally feels bad about it afterward. she’s not perfect—- not even close, & she repeats the same mistakes again & again, but she does really want to care for people.....

serena’s alcohol & substance abuse was more than ‘ uwu she’s did it again oh no!’ and more than a stupid plot point so people can just be like haha serena is wild! she had an actual problem.... just because sometimes she was a happy drunk like in the thanksgiving episode doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be troubling that she was so wasted that she almost got hit by a car ahahroiehio like... the whole thing with georgina too? taking the blame for someone’s overdose & living with the guilt & thought that she killed him? after a while people stopped taking serena’s problems seriously and just continued with that ... yeah thats serena vibe.. but she had a real, serious problem that needed to be worked on & talked about & i’m so mad that it was all swept under the rug.
