“Okay honest opinion, how does this dress look on me?” she asked, looking at her reflection in one of the windows of the lobby as she straigthened out her dress one more time. “Too sexy for a business dinner or not? Keep in mind I want to convince some middle-aged, divorced, perv to invest money.”

“I just overheard someone on the phone with their wedding planner and my God, I hope I wasn’t like that when I was planning my wedding.”

“Oh do not even get me started on wedding planning.” a soft giggle falling from her lips. “I think I fired at least 2 wedding planners for using the wrong light pink in the color scheme.” she admitted. “However, I suppose it’s just a part of the process of getting married. That, or I had set the bar rather high.”

“Not a client, no, that would be… well I’d have already left the state if that was the case. No, it’s a guy who lives here in the building. We just met one night, I’d just gotten here and my fridge was broken and he fixed it.” She groaned, throwing herself against the cushions of the couch. 

Her speaking came out  muffled, but she hoped Giselle would still get the gist of it. “He’s just cute, and really easy to be around, and he’s funny, and the sex is, well, let’s not get started with that.” She pulled herself off of the couch, “He doesn’t want anything serious, but he also just doesn’t wanna sleep with me? What’s up with that. I’ve never been around someone who didn’t want to either marry me or fuck me and fuck off… I don’t get it.” 

“Well that’s good to hear at least.” she commented with a small nod as Daisy confirmed it at least wasn’t a client. She downed her own glass in one gulp as well as the girl spoke, they had both definately deserved a drink at this point. “And you have been messing around ever since or was it a more one time thing?” she asked, brushing a lock of hair out of her face.

A soft amused laugh fell from her lips as she watched the girl throw a tantrum, dramatically flailing against the couch and everything. “Okay calm down darling, we will sort this out.” Giselle assured her, placing a hand on her knee. “So this whole not wanting any serious thing let’s talk about that. Did he clearly say that or is that something you think he implied?” she inquired, filling their glasses yet again. “And more importantly, what do you want? Is he just a cute, easy fuck or something more?”

Daisy did as told and sat on Giselle’s couch, immediately feeling more at ease in the woman’s home, “You look good too, mama.” She said with a smile. Taking the glass of wine from the woman she chugged it all in one quick gulp, and held it out, begging for a refill.” 

“I need your help.” She said, “This has never happened to me before, I swear, like, I’m a professional. Okay? And a damn good one, well okay, a sort of okay one. I mean I get a bit distracted at times, but- that’s not the point.” She looked up at her, a guilty expression on her face, “There’s a guy… I think I have, ugh, feelings for him. I don’t know what to do.” 

She immediately refilled the glass as the girl held it out again before leaning back against the sofa, taking a sip of her wine as she motioned for the girl to talk. “Let’s see what I can do for your angel.” she mused.

Giselle raised an eyebrow at Daisy’s story, tssking the girl softly at the confession. “Oh my dear girl you got yourself in quite the situation.” she shook her head, clacking her tongue. “This guy you speak off... please tell me he was no client of yours.” Giselle inquired, she’d need as much information on this man as possible in order to help. “Why don’t you tell me how all of this happened okay?”

Margaret: Well, you certainly know how to make an impression.

Margaret: Do you want to go out or keep up our streak of drinking in my apartment? x

Giselle: It's what I do best

Giselle: Had to make sure they don't forget about me around here

Giselle: I prefer your apartment, it has a tad more privacy don't you think

Giselle couldn’t have come back to town at a better time. Though Daisy was beyond excited to see the woman, she also knew she was the perfect person to understand the ridiculous situation she’d found herself in. And maybe the only person who could talk her out of it. 

At nine, she arrived, a bottle of wine in hand, and knocked loudly on the door. When it opened she rushed inside, “Hi, good to see you glad you’re back, how was your vacation? Good? Great! Look, I’ve got a serious problem and we need to talk about it, now.”

At the knock on the door Giselle knew immediately who it was. No one was as glad to see her as Daisy had been. She opened the door, stepping aside to let the girl in. “Daisy, angel it’s so good to see you. You look incredible as ever.” she said with a sweet smile, not protesting as the girl rambled off a list of pleasantries. She seemed excited to see her, that was all that mattered.

“A problem?” she asked, raising an eyebrow as she shut the door behind her. “How about you get that cute little ass of yours down on the couch and I go get some glasses? I’m sure this is the type of issue to discuss over a good glass of wine.” Giselle said, ushering the girl over to the sofa before returning with two wine glasses and sitting down. “Now tell me, what is this urgent problem we have to talk about?”

Wolfie gave her a small smile. “It was alright, the food was probably the best part. Mostly because everyone just kept hovering over me asking if I was okay.” It was rather annoying to say the least. “You didn’t have to apologize for anything, water under the bridge. I do like it though, I always wanted one just never really had the money. I’ll make it up to who for your birthday.” 

“Good food at a wedding? Happens less often than you think. The food at my wedding was horrendous, it was all so bland.” she still shivered at the thought. “Well my dearest Wolfgang you gotta fake it till you make it. You want them to stop asking question? Make sure there is nothing they can ask about.” after all that was a skill Giselle had perfected. “Really, you don’t owe me a thing. I had a lot of fun picking it out and I send out presents to a bunch of people.”

Giselle: I felt like showing that I was back rather than telling everyone would leave more of an impression

Giselle: I had to find something to match your beauty

Giselle: That sounds perfect x

“And you look good,” he replied, not at all bothered by her bluntness. “I did, but not for Christmas. My cousin was getting married.” he explained. “If it makes you feel any better I also missed it. I only heard about it by from Brie. Speaking of which, Thank you for the gift. I’m sorry I didn’t get you anything.” 

“Thank you, I try my best.” she giggled, giving him a small twirl. “Oh congratulations, the wedding must have been a lot of fun.” Giselle commented with a friendly smile. “Oh really don’t sweat it sweetheart, it was just a small apology that happened to be just in time for Christmas. I mainly just hope you liked it.”

Giselle smirked as she turned over the polaroids one by one, that truly was one hell of a warm welcome. She mentally noted to give the girl presents more often and to keep those photos far away from anyone elses eyes.

“Wolfgang, how good to see you.” she scanned him quickly. “You look tired as ever.” brutally honest, as always. “Did you also go to see your family?” Giselle asked, tipping her head to the side. “Of course I managed to miss the engagement of the century, I’ll send them my congratulations sooner or later.”
