Miu and Rantaro had first connected when she had an editorial fashion shoot for a magazine in Japan. Miu praised him, commenting on how she had all his covers plastered to her wall back at her grandparents house in America. 

A month later he paid her a visit in America. Miu’s grandmother looked panicked, the man her granddaughter idolized standing at the door, just as objectively scary as all of his photography. Miu bounded down the stairs and flung herself at the strange man, who maintained eye contact with the grandmother, a look that made her skin crawl. 

The more alarming event is when she woke up to find Miu’s red pick up truck missing, her bed empty, all that was left was a letter gushing about how Rantaro was going to make her famous. 

Then the mug shots surfaced on the news. First one missing student, then two, five, twelve, sixteen. Never could she imagine her granddaughter doing the dirty work for someone who aspired for ultimate despair.

Beta Miu does smoke and drink, especially during the killing game. Though, it is in privacy of her own suite, and she smokes so far off from everyone. But the smoke does permeate her clothing, making it impossible to totally throw off. 

If anyone does address it, she goes into a fit of spiraling of how she truly is ugly and manish, and how will anyone find her cute again? She then locks herself away in her suite, inaccessible.
