on my second watch of the finale, I'm looking at it like "ohhhhh THATS our ambiguous ending! Like Guillermo was like "any other reason that you don't want the cameras around?" and of course Nandor comes up with a funny reason but gets uncomfortable on the subject. And THEN when Guillermo suggests they be friends he says "you know what's cooler than friends?" and yes he means his coffin elevator that descends down to his lair. But I think he was trying to just get away from the cameras to be alone with Guillermo. y'all can fill in the rest.

I sort of knew from the beginning this was not going to be a show we get a "you complete me" sort of ending from. I was pleasantly surprised by this shows emotional development whilst never sacrificing the comedy. I think a lot of loose ends had to be tied up hastily because in my imagination I think the writers really feel the show could go on. But I like that it's not a dramatic ending, because it's the ending to a documentary. This vamilia will keep doing what they're doing, it's not an end to them at all, so I'm glad it doesn't really feel like one.

Nandor teasingly implying them doing stuff without the cameras there, then inviting Guillermo into his coffin and the two of them dropping down into his lair while Guillermo is screaming and Nandor is laughing and they’re both having the time of their life?

Truly one of the most uplifting show endings I’ve ever seen. They’re the silliest husbands of all time and they’re going to be together for as long as they can be, even if Guillermo is going to die someday. And maybe he won’t die! They’ll figure it out either way, and we couldn’t ask for more. ❤️

considering the order of the hypnosis endings… this was the last new scene in the whole show. the last new thing we saw. and the writers knew that. in this universe and every universe, guillermo de la cruz and nandor the relentless love each other and that’s canon.
