Been a while.

I’ve been going through some tough times, not that this pandemic has helped.

I might die if I catch the virus, so there’s that.

For quite a while I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety, but enough is enough, I’m kicking that shit out of my head and I’ll be focusing on my hat-making business. 

I’m doing some rebranding, picking a new name for my business and taking a course in the basics of running my own business. Open for suggestions on name, but I’ve narrowed the criteria down to; I do my best work in the evening and at night, so it’s gotta be something about that, and something that screams “Hey, look here, I make hats” So far I have “Nocte’s Hats” and (in norwegian) “Nattens Hatt”

Aside from that I’ve been working on a project with some friends. We’re setting up a community option for those who have no interested in sports, sort of a club where people can play games, meet people or just have a place away from home. We’re setting up some computers, but people can also bring their own, and we’ll have some options for ttrpgs aswell. It’s been a lot of fun so far and really hope it’ll turn into something great.

I guess that’s it for now. Take care, be safe, we’ll survive this.

good news tho!!  they understand it 2 a point (i was distraught about this post so i looked it up)

cats don’t kiss like humans but they do appreciate human touch and feel loved when u kiss and pet them

they don’t understand kisses but they accept them as forms of affection n love

You can also help them understand by mixing kisses with rubbing your cheek/nose/forehead over the top of their head, their cheek, or down their shoulders, just like cats rub against each other and humans to show affection. Also gently bonking foreheads to imitate the ‘I love you please pet me’ headbutt. Brushing & scratching at itchy spots for them imitates the grooming that cats who live together in colonies do for each other. Basically just try to find hygienic ways of imitating cat social behaviors, short of actual licking, lol. 

My cat will touch her nose to mine & rub her cheek across my face, which allows me to plant a kiss on her cheek. When she’s sitting in my lap, she’ll tip her head back until I lean down and kiss or nuzzle the top of her head. I’ve even found her occasionally trying to imitate the “mwah!” sound of my kisses, where she’ll nuzzle my face and make little chirping “mah! mah!” sounds. Cats are pretty smart little social creatures; they’ll figure out how to speak your language, especially if you put in the effort to speak theirs.

omg in issue 30 of the comics steven can’t figure out why amethyst is sad and nothing seems to cheer her up so he talks to greg about it and he basically explains that sometimes people are just sad and need to be alone for a while and then steven makes amethyst what he calls a “sad-nest”??

and then they hang out together in the sad-nest because she doesn’t actually wanna be alone

and she says that she finally feels better and that it’s because steven didn’t try to make her feel better, but instead just let her be how she needed to be and help her feel like it was okay to be sad and that she didn’t need to hide how she was feeling

it’s so sweet and the relationship between steven and amethyst is so important!!

Hi fun fact, colors do have meaning and there is a legit thing called color theory. Red does has more positive connotations than negative like the @mintymaiden said. Red is associated with more love, lust, passion than blood and death just like the chart shows you but If you want, here’s a link for you to check it out yourself. I like that the presumption here is that “No One On Tumblr Has Heard of Color Theory, Let Me Explain in Depth” rather than simply acknowledging that the VISUAL EFFECTS of this particular color choice, applied in the manner it was, can still amount to “this is a hospital and that looks like blood”

like, color theory doesn’t exist in a vacuum. If your design of choice for Blood Red Paint is asymmetric splatters and sploches against the wall, or in this case, a snail trail on the hallway’s floor, an infographic won’t override the viewers’ instinct.
