So....once again, I’ve not been around here at all.  Aggggh.  Lack of time & energy, mostly.  August began with a kidney stone/infection and me being quite ill from that, then work has been just batshit insanely busy ever since.  I’m so drained.  I’ve been lurking on my main blog of Legend pretty much, so I may very well just move Gladio over there so I can keep better track of him.  

I really do want to get threads going again, I just forget to log in here.  Maybe if I make Gladio a sideblog, he’ll get more attention that way lol.

uh, hello....

OMG, I have not logged in here in AGES.  I’m so sorry for my absence!  I’ve been primarily on Legend these past few months, and even there my activity is spotty.  Work is crazy, and in February my mom had a major illness, a stroke - so I’ve been helping her with her recovery ever since.  I’ve had my own minor illnesses/injuries to deal with these past few weeks, so my attention span is next to nil, but I’m trying!

My apologies for not answering things that were left hanging in the ask box - I will try to get to those as soon as I can (now that I remembered my log-in, haha).

Holiday gift drabble for @glaivearts Happy holidays, Mako!! 

“Just trust me.” Eden coaxed, glancing back at him with a teasing grin. “You’ll love this.” Her slim fingers gentle tightened their grip around his large hand. She led Gladio up the rugged slope, carefully stepping over the nestled rocks. “Smell that yet?” The scent of smoked hickory and meat threaded through the air. Pulling him over the summit, the woman stepped back to let him take in the scene. A warm glow illuminated the sheltered grove from the lilac paper lanterns hanging about the branches. A table and chairs of gray, weathered wood sat before a crackling fire pit. A dusty jeep was parked close by.

“I just got finished cooking everything, which is why I’m still like this.” She gestured towards the barbecue sauce and ash smeared over shirts and jeans. “Put everything in the back. Here.” With a jingle of keys and a click she pulled vats of ribs and steaks from the jeep’s trunk, steam still danced from the foil covers. “And then some else…” Eden yanked a blue cooler over, pulling two cold cans of beer and closing the distance between them. “Thought a picnic by a bonfire would be a nice break from the hunting and cleaning we always do. Maybe we can cook s’mores later.” She tossed a can towards his hand before rising to the tips of her toes to press a kiss to his warm lips. “Merry Christmas, Gladio.”

Christmas is over, everyone’s left, and I’m frigging tired. Kiddo got PS4 VR from the grandparents. Not too shabby. I tried the demo games and it’s pretty cool.

I’m quite sure I could sleep for 100 years or so now.

Computer is working again. YAY.

Of course now I have to finish up last minute Christmas crap. I’ll be at my mom’s for Christmas Eve, then back home for Christmas Day, so the next few days will be busy. I’ll be popping on here and on my other blogs as I’m able!

I’d intended to come back online after getting my Christmas stuff done to answer the rest of the things in my inbox. But I can’t…my computer’s been updating for nearly two hours and it’s only at 24%.

Today is candy making day. So far I’ve made these chocolate mint truffles, and some eggnog fudge. Also gonna make a batch of buckeyes. I’ll be back to it here soon, once I don’t have chocolate-covered hands. :)

I fell asleep for several hours tonight after dinner - and now that it’s time for bed, I feel like I could sleep another 12. But tomorrow I get to sleep in, woo hoo! Gonna enjoy this time off, and savor it.

I want to talk to people.

Yes part of this site is about rping with one another, and making sure that our muses talk to one another and potentially grow closer (or try to rip one another apart, but some of us want that too). But I do not want to just have the rp and nothing else. To be able to talk to one another and talk theoretical about our muses, or talk about ships. 

Hell, being able to talk about anything at all helps. Some of us just like to talk to one another, while others of us genuinely feel like people don’t like us when there is general silence. We want to form relationships, and for some of us starting interactions is hard enough that trying to find the courage to talk to someone OOC separately is nearly impossible to find.

This is an open invitation to come and talk to us. Make people feel welcome. RPing is more fun with other people anyways.

13. Ankle drama!

[While hiking one of our muses twists their ankle.]

“Quit bitching, Noct. We’re almost there,” Gladio snapped irritably, glancing backwards at him.  “Campsite’s just over this rise - “   Gladio pointed, lost track of his footing for one brief second, and tripped, the toe of his boot caught on a large crack in the rock face.  The look of surprise on the big man’s face was almost comical as he went sprawling, though it would soon become clear that he was injured.

Gladio grunted, wincing as he forced himself to his feet, quite obviously favoring his right ankle.  “Shut up,”  he warned Noctis pre-emptively.  “Just...don’t say ‘I told you so.’  I don’t wanna hear it.”

They forgot to bring a tent, and now must either sleep under the stars, or build a shelter.

Our muses brought an RV packed full of stuff to make it just like home.
