Greg is worried when their daughter starts hanging around with a mysterious boy so informs his husband. "How dangerous?" Mycroft asks his husband. "Well ..." "Gregory." A knock on the office door interrupts whatever Greg was about to say. "Come in." "Mr Holmes, you need to see this." Anthea says seriously, placing the laptop down on the desk. Greg moved round to the other side of the desk to see what's on the laptop. It's from a CCTV camera on a building pointing down to a back alley. The CCTV footage shows Samantha robbing a man at gun point before she points the gun at the CCTV camera and fires; destroying the camera. "Jesus Christ. What are we going to do, Myc?" Greg asks in shock. "As usual, we're going to fix it, my dear." Mycroft replies, closing the laptop. ... The pair track their daughter on multiple CCTV cameras as they drive through London, finally stopping at her final location. Mycroft sees his daughter and her new 'boyfriend' coming out of a shop, laughing and playfully shoving each other. Before Greg can even react, Mycroft is out of the car and standing in front of it. "Samantha Lestrade-Holmes, get over here right now!" He yells to his daughter; who immediately spins round to look at her father. "Is that your dad?" The boy next to her asks in confusion. "Yeah, and that means I'm in serious shit." Greg follows Mycroft's lead and steps out of the car as well. "Samantha, you heard your Papa, get over here right now! Or I'll have you arrested!" "What?" Both Samantha and Mycroft reply at the same time. "You heard me." Greg replies, still glaring at his daughter. "You wouldn't dare, Dad." Samantha yells, storming over to her Dad and Papa. "You wanna bet, kid? You stole my gun and used it in a robbery. And there's CCTV footage of it." Greg replies, his arms folding across his chest. "Yeah, but nobody got hurt. Just get Papa to erase the footage." "That can be ..." Mycroft starts, only to be interrupted by Greg. "No." "Dad, you can't be serious!" "You need to learn, Samantha. One day me and your Papa won't be around to fix your shit anymore. And then who will you call to bail you out? Him?" Greg replies, pointing at the boy Samantha has been with. "Gregory, be reasonable ..." "No, we've bailed her out enough times, Mycroft. She needs to learn that actions have consequences. I'm taking you to Scotland Yard. Let's go." "Papa, please ..." The girl cries, reaching out to Mycroft. Mycroft goes to comfort his daughter but Greg tone is firm. "Get in the car, Samantha." "Papa ..." "Do as you're told, Samantha." Mycroft replies, because deep down he knows his husband is doing the right thing. Samantha looks so broken as she walks round to the back of the car, that Mycroft has to turn away and hide his face. ... They pull up at Scotland Yard and Greg escorts his daughter to booking. "Detective Inspector, what's going on?" The officer behind the counter asks in confusion. "My daughter stole my gun and used it in a robbery, nobody was killed but it's time she learnt her lesson." After giving the officer Samantha's details, the officer escorts the girl to the cells. "Mycroft, we did the right thing, didn't we?" Greg asks suddenly, his shoulders sagging as he begins to sob. "At first, I wasn't sure, Gregory. But you're right. She needs to learn. Maybe this will change her behaviour." Mycroft replies softly, pulling his husband into his arms. "I'm sorry. I undermined you and went behind your back." Greg sobs into Mycroft's chest, wrapping his arms round his husband. "No, Gregory, you did what needed to be done. And I should have never doubted you. Samantha needs us to be united in our decisions and I tried to contradict yours today. I'm the one who should be sorry." "We'll pick her up in the morning, yeah?" "I'll have it cleared and ready, right away. I'll convince them to let her off with a warning." "I love you." Greg replies, lifting his head to kiss his husband. "And I love you, Gregory. And we'll sort our daughter out together." Mycroft replies, grabbing Greg's hand and walking him out of the station.
