HOW TO DRINK MORE WATER WITHOUT FEELING LIKE A CAMEL
We all know we need to drink water. Many of us don’t drink enough. We have good intentions of giving our bodies the right amount of water to hydrate ourselves, boost energy and get rid of nasty toxins in our systems. But like so many other things the intention is good but the reality falls short.
Most of us need to drink at least six to eight glasses of water every day to stay well-hydrated. If you are physically active, pregnant, breastfeeding or feeling unwell you may need more.
Water does amazing things in our bodies and we should respect its importance to our health. Water helps us with good blood flow and can reduce blood pressure, it lubricates joints and it balances our bodily fluids. When our bodily fluids are balanced we have improved digestion, we absorb the necessary nutrients from our food, we are able to transport these nutrients, and we maintain our body temperature.
I want to drink more water but when I do I feel like a camel! How do we drink more water without the bloat?
WHY YOU NEED TO EAT BREAKFAST
Some mornings when that alarm sounds and the thoughts of what you have to tackle that day start to slowly roll through your mind, it’s tempting to drag yourself out of bed and just get going. Breakfast is the least of your worries, getting yourself out the door and all the members of your household where they need to be with everything they need is the priority.
We know we need to eat breakfast but why?.....READ COMPLETE POST HERE http://glamorhippie.com.au/need-eat-breakfast/
WHY FOOD PACKAGING CAN MAKE US SICK
Food packaging is an essential item that we can no longer live without. Packaged food makes our modern need for convenience possible. It keeps produce clean, safe and fresh. It’s also able to supply us with information about the expiration date, the nutritional information, the origin of the item and any information needed about the preparation requirements.
Unfortunately, packaging can be harmful to our environment as well as our health. Food packaging contributes to an immense amount of landfill each year that can last decades longer than the food it was protecting. Packaging consumes natural resources and is harmful to our environment. Packaging is also an area where we are only just discovering the impacts it has on the food we are consuming.
Manufacturers are under significant pressure to create food packaging.....READ COMPLETE POST OVER AT GLAMOR HIPPIE CLICK HERE http://glamorhippie.com.au/food-packaging-can-make-us-sick/
ARE YOU WHAT YOU DO?
When you first meet someone that is unfamiliar with your day to day activities or you have known someone a short while and they have become curious to how you spend your day you will certainly be asked: “what do you do?”....READ COMPLETE POST HERE http://glamorhippie.com.au/are-you-what-you-do/
IS YOUR DEVICE MAKING YOU FAT?
Having a brilliant morning routine is essential to setting up your day for success. I have read and listened to many successful people talk about the importance of establishing a morning routine. The routines have been created with an individual twist that maximises the benefits for the individual. From meditation, exercise, journaling, green smoothies and reading, or all of this and more! I’m working hard on getting this just right for me, it’s something I want to achieve this year and so far I’m getting better at it. But it does take time and it’s easy to slip back into old habits.
One of the most important aspects that I have noticed in my research into having a successful morning routine is not touching your smartphone. If we reach for the phone first thing we are instantly sucked into the world before we have had time to breath. Reading emails, checking calendars and viewing reminders quickly take you from the relaxed state of waking to a state of urgency. Your day is suddenly dictated to by others and not you. Social media will then take up a nice chunk of the precious minutes you should be spending on taking care of yourself, getting yourself ready for the long day ahead. Not touching your smartphone until the work day will create a sense of calm and can carry you through the day making you more successful in what you want to achieve.
It can be difficult to implement, but it’s possible people!..........READ COMPLETE POST HERE http://glamorhippie.com.au/device-making-fat/
EXCUSE ME I NEED TO TAKE A PIC OF THIS
I am one of ‘those’ people that have my phone or camera ready and willing to take a quick pic of what’s going on around me. I love taking photos. I have albums and albums of beautifully printed photos documenting my scrumptious little human’s lives ready and waiting patiently on the shelves for the moment they are pulled down by little hands. Moments of delicious laughter usually follow, most of the laughter is from the naked baby photos of themselves, they always manage to create the best laughs.
If you have ever been out with me or had a peek at my Instagram account you would know that I’m fond of the old selfie, or two, or ten! I’m very fortunate to have fantastic friends who tolerate my narcissistic tendencies when it comes to taking pics of myself and I love them dearly for that. But don’t worry they love to remind me of my vanity and quickly bring me back to earth as a good friend should!
One of the many perks of being a blogger is that you have an excuse to take pics of pretty much anything anywhere...READ COMPLETE POST HERE http://glamorhippie.com.au/excuse-need-take-pic/
LIVING OUTSIDE THE BOX
Have you ever wondered what would happen if one morning you just woke up and decided today you were just going to be yourself? Now you might be thinking, what is she talking about now? I wake up every morning and go about my day ALL day being myself, crazy hippie. If that is true then that’s brilliant! It’s very uncommon and I would love to meet you!
There are so many of us who find it difficult to be our true self all day. We are so many things to so many people. Women especially. We constantly wear so many hats and juggle so much that at times we are so far from our authentic self its nuts. Some days we give Oscar worthy performances playing the necessary characters to get through everything from buying your morning coffee, tackling work, doing the kids homework (you know we’re all doing their homework), driving, cooking, cleaning, catching up with friends, killing it at the gym, trying to relax at yoga, getting groceries, answering emails, walking the dog……you name it we can switch gears and tackle it.
Some days I hear myself talking and it I think, what did I just say?......READ COMPLETE POST HERE http://glamorhippie.com.au/living-outside-box/
FOOD VITALITY? We all know that eating our fruit and vegetables will keep us healthy. It’s not overly complicated really. Fresh fruit and vegetables are necessary for us to thrive, keep active and live a healthy lifestyle. But what if the fruits and vegetables we are spending money buying and time preparing aren’t giving us the positive benefits that we are expecting?

Being a pet owner comes with so much unconditional love its crazy. We bring these amazing creatures into our homes and they quickly become family members that we simply couldn’t live without.
Taking care of pets is an enormous responsibility that thankfully most of us take seriously. Our pets are not only taken care of the best way possible, they are simply spoilt and that’s the way it should be. It can also be an area where we forget to think about a number of chemicals we are bringing into our home via blankets, toys and food...READ COMPLETE POST HERE http://glamorhippie.com.au/organic-pets/
Having one of those days happens to all of us. Think about everything we juggle work, family, friends, commitments the list is endless. It can leave us drained, tired and cranky. We are accustom to our moods changing, we ride the hormone rollercoaster without a second thought and frankly, we handle our sh*t like pros.
Some days you simply show-up and show-out, rocking a top-knot and double shot.
Often these are the days you get the most done. They are the days you don’t allow that little negative voice in your head to throw shade at anything you’re doing. You don’t get stuck in small talk. You don’t care what anyone is doing on social media and you handle everything thrown your way like a boss...READ COMPLETE POST HERE http://glamorhippie.com.au/bitch-please/

FARMED FISH
Adding seafood regularly to our diet is a great idea. It’s one of the healthiest choices we can make. Fish contain nutrients such as protein, vitamin D and of course omega-3 fatty acids, all essential for a healthy brain and functioning body.
Looking at recent trends, most of us regularly purchase salmon as our fish of choice. However, this might not always be a good choice.......READ COMPLETE POST HERE http://glamorhippie.com.au/farmed-fish/

THE HEALTHY ALTERNATIVE TO FOOD COLOURING
Thankfully today we are becoming more aware of the impact preservatives, additives, artificial colours and flavouring have on our health and more importantly our children’s health. We know that junk food is riddled with colouring to make it more appealing and this as a profound effect on children’s behaviour.
It’s understandable why. Did you know that synthetic dyes are created by burning coal tar and others are derived from petroleum by-products? Over the years many dyes have been banned because they were simply cancer-causing toxins. Today in Australia all additives undergo a thorough safety assessment before being approved for use in Australia and New Zealand, which is much better than what’s going on around the rest of the world.
But just because the synthetic dyes used aren’t going to kill us quickly, doesn’t mean they aren’t going to poison us slowly.
All too often dyes are used in products that you wouldn’t necessarily think, such as meat, sauces, salad dressings, cheese and much more. The safest option is to always read the label and buy the organic option if it’s available. Of course, the best option of all is fresh fruit and vegetables, they are rich in colour that is not only safe for us but necessary for survival.
Sometimes you do need a little colour in your food, how do you get the colour without the risk? READ COMPLETE POST HERE http://glamorhippie.com.au/healthy-alternative-food-colouring/
