I'm still re-learning Tumblr but I'm loving all the changes so far! I do love Twitter for all the connections and quick responses from people in the art field of work and in my personal life but until I feel comfortable with the changes, I'll be posting here. The unlimited text limit is nice so now I can share ALL my thoughts on my work --

We often go through life, focusing on a singular goal until we burn ourselves out and lose what the importance of it was. New moons allow us to give ourselves an internal check up every few weeks to continue with our current goals or maybe starting fresh. 

2021 for me was this intense burn out/art block, I knew what I wanted but nothing would spark interest in me. Trying to reignite my love for art seemed pointless until I stopped to remember why I drew in the first place. It wasn’t for a follow count, or recognition but it was because I love to create. So I took a break, found support and drew what I loved. In that time my love for my art was rekindled. 

Have you ever experienced art block, and what advice would you give to some experiencing it?

Art blocks can make you feel like everything you create is useless but your new moon is coming – bringing new beginnings and a fresh start.
