Jamie grinned, still unbelievably glad that his wife was with him again. He was fairly certain thirty years could pass and he’d still remain grateful. He leaned his forehead to hers, eyes shining at her. “Aye, well someone had tae come after you,” he said. “It only seemed right it was your husband. Though Ah think kidnapping should be avoided at all costs. We were lucky to find each other the way we did.”

          ANNOYED  ⸺  that could describe how she felt when she thought about the english ship’s kidnapping her while she was solely doing her best to be of help. what they were not aware of was her beloved stubborn of a husband existence and what he would do to have her safe. ❝ oh, yes. . . because I make plans of being kidnapped every once in a while just for fun.❞ there was something about them, together ; how only James Fraser was ever capable of making her emotions change in seconds, making the anger give space to the softness of his caring self for her. ❝ I love you, Jamie Fraser, you bloody bastard. always have and always will,❞ golden orbs stared at the deep blue briefly before her lips moved up to kiss his nose softly. ❝ no one will take me away from your arms ever again.❞

      LIPS PARTED SILENTLY  ⸺  it was something Claire saw coming, or at least was praying for it to happen someday. she was beside herself when her husband informed her about the reality their first born lived, not having the knowledge of her true parents who loved and cared for her through all her existence ; it made her blood boil just the thought of what their daughter went through, or just to picture the bloody blonde assassin who tried to have her killed at the witch trial many years ago, not to mention the fact that Faith had to endure other girls calling her own father Da. he lied to their girl and now they were to live with the consequences of his lies. ❝ I expected you to, my love.❞ she had her hands intertwined with her daughter’s, not only for reassurance, but for keeping them from shaking. ❝ what would you like to know? ❞

Jamie had often felt some sympathy for Claire, even from the beginning when she’d been forced along with them. And while he had been more than willing to marry her in order to protect her, he knew that she had not necessarily wanted that. But they’d come a long way from then. And even still. “Ah donnae imagine this is exactly what ye would have wanted for yerself though,” he said. “Could have married vera well if ye’d wanted.”

     ❝ well, ❞ Claire would be lying to herself if she had claimed to not like him or enjoy his company ; even though she grew up more used to the presence of men around her, feeling more comfortable towards the male company than the females ones, not all of them proved to be welcoming. Jamie’s presence not only had made her feel safe and welcome, but at peace. . . and even as happy as one could be. he was a friend on the first place, if she had to marry anyone, she was glad it was him. and of course, she also felt attracted to him which she wouldn’t deny anymore. ❝ can’t say I was planning on it or that it was my dream, but I am glad it was YOU and I mean it.❞ her palm reached his cheek, stroking it softly. oh, she was DAMNED.
