It’s Saint Mark’s Eve, so what better time to post the little Raven Cycle comic I’ve been working on?

Back when we thought we were getting a show I made a post about how I thought the first few minutes could go, just for fun. But, alas, we are not getting a show anymore. So I decided to turn those thoughts into a short comic instead.

I had a ton of fun with this. I’d honestly love to get a graphic novel adaption of the books even more than a TV show adaption.

I like the idea of anything involving Cabsewater being in a more painterly style, with brighter, more vibrant colors. The world outside Cabsewater, however, would be more burnished and washed out, with simple cell-shading. The reader would not quite know why until we’re fully introduced to Cabsewater. Then, as the story goes on through the later books, the two styles would start to blend more and more, depending on what’s going on.
