"There have been…disappearances as of late— kin traveling into the wood an not returning. I fear it is worse than before, mellon nîn.”

"Then we must find a way to keep those beast off our realm. Travel in packs, maybe then we will stand a chance. But it tis a dark road ahead.."

"Yes, I am quite aware that these woods are not for the weak," Kili nodded, slowly straightening a bit, "Which, by the way I am not," he added, finding it very important to point that out. He dared to look around again, his ears perked in hopes to hear where his companions had taken the way.

"There is no need to plan my demise. I’m not an enemy," Kili insisted, "I seem to have lost the rest of my company and together we were simply trying to make our way through the forest," he explained.

"I never said you were weak, Dwarf." She said shortly, her back stiffening. She kept her eyes firmly upon him, watching him as he looked about. She wondered if he was alone, no, he was alone- she wouldn't let herself be surprised again. This time she would strike first then, ask questions later. 

"How am I to know that? You randomly walk around Mirkwood, alone." She snorted distastfully. "Aren't our races against the other, as well?" Not that she cared much.

"A company?" Gleowyn smirked slightly. "Just traveling through the forest? Really? Where exactly are you traveling to?"

Hooves struck the moist earth, and the blowing horse blustered through the thin undergrowth bordering the clearing. It was a large creature, the breadth and height of a workhorse, but the agility of a pacer. A real Destrier. A warhorse.

The figure atop the grey beast had a short, dark bow drawn taut, and an iron arrowhead aimed at the dark-haired elf on the ground as the horse swung around, head tossing. The chemicals in the air were making the beast nervous, but he was a steady sort, tempered by experience, and age. Green eyes scanned over the edge of rough fabric — tied over the mouth and nose to prevent the side effects of the noxious spores —, searching for any sign of trouble, but the bow was not lowered. The elf could be a threat, for all Kiasax knew, and she had been under the impression that there had been a fight occurring. 

"Friend." She mumbled after a silent moment, eyes cutting down to the other female. Whether she remained ready to fire or not was up to the elf, now.

Gleowyn's eyes widened slightly, how had she not heard the thunder of hooves sooner? She would've gone to higher grounds if so, as to not be in a disadvantage and the she elf was. Her bow tossed to the side and her knives buried deep within the tree. Even if she made a dive for her knives and throw them, there was a huge possibility the woman would hit and kill her.

Not that Gleowyn couldn't stand her own with a sword, she just felt more level with the woman if she had her bow. Gleowyn did not lower her blade, she did not know this woman, nor did she trust her one bit. "How am I to know you are a friend? Once I lower my sword, how will I know you won't fire an arrow at me?" Gleowyn said roughly, still angry at herself for not being more attentive to her surroundings.

Kili cursed as he frantically looked around for his brother, his uncle, ther burglar… Well anyone familiar from the company would work really. Even the occasionally terrifying Bifur.

His ears picked up on another sound than spiders and dwarves just moments before he saw the source of it. Bringing out his own sword just as he stumbled over a few roots. Glancing up at the stranger. No doubt an elf.

"Damnit," he cursed, glaring at the sword pointed towards him, "What a friendly forest. Ever since we’ve stepped into these woods someone has tried to kill me. Now you?"

Gleowyn was expecting a spider or an orc, but instead a dwarf came out of the brush. Gleowyn though surprised, did not once lower her weapon, her people hated the dwarves. They were greedy beings that only took one pleasure and that was gold. Another thing that bugged her was the fact that he was a dwarf alone in these parts. They had no home around them except the lonely mountains, which was taken. "You are in Mirkwood, tis a dangerous place to begin with. Though, I wish not to kill you, unless you've given me no choice." She snapped, her sword lowering to her side, but still firmly in hand. "What are you doing in these parts? There is nothing for you here."

There was an elf deep within the Mirkwood forest, panting as she dived this way and that. Her mind never losing focus on the task at hand, she treated this as if it was life or death. She could not afford to lose focus. She rolled on the ground, springing up, bow raised up in the air. She pulled back the string and let it go, firing an arrow in the air. Once the arrow hit the tree, she reached back and drew another arrow and fired that as well. 

She then threw her to the side, drawing out two knives and throwing them as well. they zinged through the air, until they hit their destination. Her ears twitched suddenly, hearing the fast approach of someone behind her. She whipped around, her mouth drawn back into a snarl, her hand drawing out her sword. "Come out now!"
