Hot Rod kinda confused me. like i get what they were going for with his i-just-wanna-save-my-planet-but-not-really-hurt-anybody-but-the-guy-i’m-following-is-totally-cool-with-hurting-people-and-i-believe-the-only-way-to-succeed-is-maybe-to-hurt-a-few-people-a-little-bit-ohwaitohshoot-this-dude’s-gone-too-far/was-lying-the-whole-time thing but i simply believe he did not have enough screen time and dialogue to fully flesh out his character arc- especially with his double betrayal and whatever. also his voice was too deep and he wasn’t sarcastic enough.

his design looked good though and he used lots of fire, which i love

also the end for megs- what in the grunkle stan- like CMON be fr really??? it worked for grunkle but for megs it was the result of a time frisbee which is not nearly explained enough/ is a bit (maybe a lot) goofy to me.like oh no it’s a magic(?) frisbee of ‘revert you to your former self’ mind time travel like ok bro reallyy

all the pov switching gave it a rushed and incomplete feel, especially during the battle scenes-and a lot of the switches felt really abrupt- usually switches happen at the end of a scene or a dialogue, not in the middle of one, something’s supposed to be resolved or figured out or discovered. i just felt thrown around a lot.
