I just need a Catra vs Glimmer showdown. I need it more than I need to breathe tbh. And I need Glimmer to fight her the way she was going to in The Ties That Bind, no holds barred, I WILL kill you.

Cuz now....she can thanks to Shadow Weaver and she has reason to, because Catra pulled the switch that took away her mom.

Ima keep going with this clip comparison for a sec, because imagine Adora caught between trying to stop Glimmer from just utterly wrecking Catra and trying to stop Catra from utterly wrecking Glimmer while also trying not to utterly wreck them both as She-Ra. But both are past the point of reason and guys i'm---

Just imagine Glimmer and Catra being separated from Adora and just duking it out. Catra being completely jealous and furious that Adora and Shadow Weaver have abandoned her for this soft, pink rich kid who was born special while she has to claw and fight to survive and have everything slip through her hands, and Gilmmer with righteous hatred for the person who ostensibly killed her mom, hurt her friends and nearly destroyed the world.

Catra was always a dirty fighter but against Glimmer she’d be extremely cruel, clawing eyes, choking and taunting all the way through. Glimmer, giving into her rage and having shadow weaver’s red-black mana appearing as streaks in her glittery aura, showing her power and corruption. In the end, Catra defeats Glimmer, but barely, perhaps even luckily, scrappily as she always does.

This is when Adora manages to rejoin them and almost immediately goes for Catra. Catra knows she cannot defeat She-Ra when she is not holding back for friendship’s sake. Instead she tries to manipulate Adora, making her believe Glimmer is close to dying and needs help quick, putting Adora in the quandary of either helping her friend or fighting her archenemy. This would allow Catra to escape, broken, beaten, shaken to her core that the girl she thought was a softie nearly took her out on her own and Adora still chooses Glimmer over her.

Also interesting thing is that Glimmer wants her mom back but now is being guided and praised by Catra’s abusive mother figure.
