this is a Dandys World fan blog where you can submit any confession you have relating to Dandys World! It can be a complaint, it can be appreciation, regardless, it will almost always belong here.

about the mod!! I am moderator Glisten, the only mod and the owner of this blog. My favorite toons are Glisten and Rodger. I enjoy Reflectivedetective, fashionshow, most Glisten ships… My highest floor is 44, and my highest solo went to floor 39. I’ll occasionally confess something here myself, simply because. My main blog is listed in bio, but I will list it here too for the sake of it: @fujothea !

I am very often online and can answer confessions often as well. Only rarely will I be without internet for a long period of time- I will try my best to communicate when those periods will be! Thank you <3

I am not taking mod apps!

With all that out of the way, there are multiple rules you should follow before you make a confession:

1: Nothing bigoted! You can complain about sexism and homophobia within the fanbase or something similar, but anything that comes off as actually discriminatory towards any marginalized group will be deleted.

2: Nothing too inappropriate. A minor NSFW joke here or there is alright, but anything too graphic will result in a block.

3: Respect my boundaries, please! No weird confessions relating to me!

4: No personal information. Kind of obvious, I know. Remember: you don’t know me! So please don’t send me photos of your face, or anything too personal!

5: criticizing a take is fine, but no calling a confessioner any names and such.

6: Everything is for fun! Try to have a good time and discuss things- don’t take anything too seriously. :D

More info: I will be tagging characters, but if the confession in question is hating on a specific character, say, Sprout, then I will not be tagging the confession as #dw Sprout! Sometimes a confession will be more neutral towards a character and in that case it will be tagged as the character, even if it is a little negative about them.

I will also be leaving my thoughts on some of the confessions if I have something to say relating to it. I won’t be rude unless provoked, so don’t be shy :) Anons under cut:

I dislike Doma as much as the next person but I feel like most people don’t actually know what she did and only hate her out of jealousy. Because why am I seeing so much hate towards her art style? Thats such an unproductive form of “criticism.” All it does is harm the people who have styles inspired by hers. It’s honestly just mean and gross and petty, and accomplishes nothing outside of making random people feel bad for their own art.

yeah, honestly I find it pretty stupid when people claim her art is “bad” because “it’s just the canon art style but with bigger pupils!!!!” As if that’s a valid reason to shit on it. Also it’s not even bad? You can’t deny she has talent when it comes to picking colors, and her animations are objectively very impressive. She is not a good person to support, but you can admit her art is good while also admitting she isn’t a very good person.

+ this results in the fandom hating on other people’s art styles too. I’ve noticed a lot of hostility towards art styles outside of the norm and it’s very frustrating. This kind of hate shouldn’t be normalized towards one person because then it will be normalized towards everyone.

okay im not saying that its a crime to dislike brusha here, its fine if you dont think shes the best of the cast, but all i AM saying is that if you say you hate her and then proceed to go on and say you like shrimpo im gonna be looking at you weirdly. i wont say anything, but i will be watching.

lowkey i think that the game should have more difficult floor events. ichor leaks are just annoying and blackouts are tricky but not really in a Fun Way, plus the only other two that i think actually posed a good challenge are EVENT EXCLUSIVE ONES!!!!! which SUCKS!!!!! rip to the iced over floors especially you left just as i was getting used to you... o7

I don’t exactly know if this counts as a confession or not, but is it okay to headcanon Toodles or Gourdy as LGBTQ+??

I wouldn’t say it’s a “confession” per se but I’ll answer anyways: yeah. Queer kids exist! I know several trans kids myself, and when I was a kid I had crushes on other girls. It’s normal.

i am probably reading way too far into this baby game for babies but holy shit. sprout is the most internalized bpd coded character ive ever seen. his relationship with cosmo is *textbook* favorite person behavior. i would also like to make an argument for pure o ocd sprout.

also every time someone draws sprout buff/makes him an alpha male an angel loses their wings

no hate to the white finn anon but i disagree with finn being the whitest character in the game. if finn was a human he would be texmex and live on the coast studying the gulf of mexico all day. i know he be fuckin up breakfast tacos and jarritos at some hole in the wall place. you just gotta trust me.

I just saw someone say transmasc Connie and it made me so mad- 

Let us trans women have ONE thing bro…. She isn’t implied to be repressing anything. Boolinski is obviously a deadname, and not a last name, otherwise Soulvester would go by that name as well. Istg every time a character is implied as transfem someone has to make them something else- it’s really frustrating because I just want a little bit of rep, man 😕

If you guys want a transmasc character, I’d argue Glisten is right there- he wants to be “perfect” (which can be read as him wanting to be seen as a man) but is heavily insecure about how others perceive him (afraid that his femininity might make the others around him see him as a woman). Glisten is perfect for transmasc rep! There are also plenty of other characters in this game that could work as trans men- personally I really like transmasc Bassie- but please, please leave Connie for the girls 😖🙏

Well it's kinda hard to get far without distracting. On later floors the amount of twisteds can become unbearable, especially on more open maps like Shelly's. It makes floors go by extremely slowly and isn't fun or reliant on skill, just a boring waiting game in order to hop onto a machine for 2 seconds before a twisted spots you

And wasn't the Twisted Pebble nerf because he was also annoying for non-distractors after the twisted ai rework? I swear I remember clips of 3 star speed toons struggling to deal with him(though he's apparently way easier than he was before, so that kinda sucks). Blaming it purely on "entitled distractors" is kinda unfair
