caramel coconut macaroons i baked for a friend's birthday party! this was a new recipe & also my first time making homemade salted caramel. they turned out delicious but i learned a lot of new things i will improve upon next time i make them (they are not supposed to look this messy. i took some... artistic liberties.)

slipcase for a special edition box set of holly black's folk of the air trilogy (tfota is a guilty pleasure of mine + these come with annotations from the author & i 💜 author commentary. i had been eyeing this set for a couple years & it was my first real present to myself after getting a new job and saving up for a while... i am v happy with it :-) i am currently subjecting my very patient roommates to a book club of at least the first book with me) i will post pics of the full box set sometime bc the covers are sooo gorgeous
