adam’s lips drew into a smirk. he really HAD missed noah; missed this. it just wasn’t the same without him. “ oh GOD i’m talking like deep in a cave, thirty miles UNDERGROUND dim. that’s the last time i let gansey drag me grocery shopping. GOD. you’d think he was going for his weekly book club meeting. “

"that sounds truly horrific!” the words are followed by another laugh that totally take away from how serious he wanted to sound when he said it. “i’m glad you managed to make it through it all unscathed.” he was grateful for how easy the conversation was.

It was like Hugo had been expecting to return to Seattle again, accepting that the whole ordeal had been nothing but a pleasant and weird dream. After all he had appeared out of nowhere and just as randomly DISAPPEARED, finding himself back in England with his same dull job with the same dull people. It was nice to see his family but here in Seattle, for the first time ever, he had made FRIENDS. Noah was one of them. Well maybe a bit more than friends. Or just friends? Who knew. Still Hugo had come to CARE for the other and his heart ached with the longing for the ghost. The same randomness had him back and the first person he wanted to see was NOAH. Unable to stop himself as he literally RUNS to the other’s place, hoping he’d see him and hoping it wasn’t all just something he had imagined. He bangs on the other’s door quite frantically, “Noah! Noah open up! It’s me! It’s Hugo. Hugo Weasley! You know…the awkwardly tall ginger?”

noah was in a sort of daze, watching some underwater documentary on tv, when the knocking on his door started. the noise startled him more than it probably should have considering nothing could actually hurt him anymore. still, he’s wary as he pushes himself to his feet and slowly makes his way to the door. the name shouted by the other takes a moment for him to recognize but once it clicks, all of the memories from his first time in seattle come flooding back and a large smile spreads across his face as he pulls open the door to see hugo standing there. there are several different things that he wants to say but he settles for a simple, “hi.” were they supposed to hug now? how did reunions like this work? what did hugo remember? “i don’t think you’re that awkward.”

noah immediately let out a loud laugh at that. “i don’t think that’s how it goes, blue.” still, he leans in to gently press his lips against hers, entirely too aware of the contact the entire time and when he pulls away his smile has faded away ever so slightly. “i wish-” but he cuts himself off immediately because he isn’t even sure where he could go with that.

“We are going so slow,” Noah said, craning his neck to observe the inevitable queue behind them. “I think I just saw a tricycle pass us.”
