As I was going to sleep last night this little demon voice in my head just whispered “but imagine how much better ACOFAS and ACOSF would’ve been if Elain died in the war”

Like THAT is something that I could see truly driving Nesta to RUIN and it would’ve upped the stakes of everything P L U S instead of feysand baby being why Nesta goes after the dread trove the whole thing could’ve been Nesta trying to bring Elain back and then could’ve set up an Elain book so perfectly with whoever Elain’s love interest is helping Nesta and proving their love for Elain/redeeming themselves by doing so. AND this would set up an actually compelling storyline of Elain having to overcome whatever the Fae afterlife was and being haunted by it (or possibly a Buffy thing where she was actually in heaven and is then mad they pulled her out).

The ending? Nesta trading her death power for the life of her sister. I realize that’s essentially what happened but imagine how much more POWERFUL that would’ve been if we’d seen her agonizing over Elain for 2 books.

Nesta still could’ve had her healing journey with Cassian, she could’ve been made to go so far off the rails that it actually was understandable why Feysand ordered her to the House of Wind, the bonding with Gwyn and the conversations about Cassian’s mom would’ve been RAW AS HELL, there would be solid set up for the next book, and Feyre wouldn’t be a mother at 22 because I’m sorry no matter how much you love Feysand it’s still (imo) too much for Feyre to be immortal, having gone through everything she has, and then be a MOTHER AT 22.

fireworksgate is fucking real yall i was walking by some residential street earlier today and a car driving by threw a bigass firecracker out their window at a house with three kids playing in the front yard and their mom. cops pulled up SUSPICIOUSLY fast (like literally 10 seconds later fast), rolled down their window, listened to the mom, basically said “wow that sucks, good luck”, and drove off without getting out

i think cops nationwide are setting off random fireworks to keep people awake + on edge + accustomed to sudden explosions tbh. here’s a pretty good article on it (specific to NYC)

this shit is 230% real, ive heard so many stories of it and weird shit with fireworks suddenly appearing that I really can only see it as some kind of retaliation motivated psyop. pro pyrotechnics companies had all these events cancelled because of COVID, are not asking many questions when they can get rid of everything and cut losses, and meanwhile you have the NYPD whose budget makes $20,000 of fireworks a night nothing at all in practical terms.

They’re setting up a “special task force” for these illegal firework demonstrations, yet people in these communities say they’ve seen the fireworks coming from right behind the police stations with no police doing anything about it, have taken videos of police literally driving around with their sirens on while the fireworks blast at 3am, and were told by kids that they were just given the fireworks, and now this? all of this is extremely sus and at the end of the day shows they have no actual regard for the communities they “serve”
