Crows normally walk. This one seems to have both legs working, so he’s not hopping out of necessity, he’s doing it for fun. Corvids can sometimes be seen doing things like this for no evident reason other than enjoyment.

Just a corvid out on the town, havin a good time
Crows play and do this stuff all the time! I walk in the hills nwar where I live, and I see crows playing all the time. Some examples:
- I saw one crow on a windy hillside, and it would waddle up the slope, and once it got to the top it would launch itself into the air, straight up, spread it’s wings wide and let the wind coast it back.
- different hillside, but I was watching crows play what seemed to be a group competition game - either one or two would fly out from the trees at the top of the valley, and then drop and do a barrel roll (yes they can do that) in the middle of the air. If there was two they were doing it synchronised!!! Synchronized crows! Like that’s just amazing. And then they’d fly back to the other crows at the top. Oh yeah and the entire time there was a chorus of caws from the other crows in the trees at the top.
