Ananas Dragon is heavily based off of Caribbean culture, which is something I don't see a lot within media, so it makes me really happy that my culture is being represented within media. But when somebody to a lot of people misrepresent or straight up erase that identity from that character, it feels like that I'm not seen nor that my culture matters within the world, that character got whitewashed and misrepresented within the fandom. Which is exactly how queer people feel when people like YOU say that or completely change a character's sexuality because a "person doesn't like it." I even related to most of the lesbian characters inclduing ELAINE within Billie Bust Up as a heavily woman-prefed Bisexual, who is a GIRL.

Fiction or not, representation is important and it's especially important in this fandom. And these characters help people like me feel seen within media, and it's effing annoying with people like you who say "it's just fiction blah blah blah!!!" because that is really just fucking ignorant to say that.
