Ain't Enough Hours in the Night
I hear you pray for a longer day
Well that just ain't what I say
I've a tale I'd like to tell
Of a sweet lil southern belle
You'll agree with me alright
That there ain't enough hours in the night.
Well I took this gal on nice lil date,
Pretty sights we saw, good food we ate
The hours rolled and sped on past.
Till She turned and to me an asked
“Can I take you home, if I might?
Lay with you all the hours of the night?”
Oh I take a sip, and she took a swaller
She took me to bed, made me swear and holler.
Never woulda thought I woulda wore a collar
She had this look in her eye, My god you shoulda Saw her
she don't bark, but she likes to bite.
Oh there ain't enough hours in the night.
Oh we rolled, played, we was petting heavy
“It's getting early, can you stay?” said she.
“Can I miss work? I wanna stay.” Thought me
Wanna keep it feeling as it oughta be
I knew I had to leave by morning light…
Aww that ain't nice, naw, that ain't right
So we drew them curtains all up tight
And we never did see the end of that night.
She shook me up till all I saw was white.
Aww tell me, Who needs the daylight?
There just ain't enough hours in the night.
