i think its also important to consider that the main reason midoriya is forgiving of endeavor is because shouto himself is. midoriya is doing the right thing and following his friend's lead and how said friend continues their relationship with their father. dabi is the one hurting shouto at this moment in time and THAT is what midoriya cares about. he's not being an abuse apologist. he's being a good friend.
