His eyebrow raises for a moment as a Clint looks over at Loki. The expression on his face changes to one with a slight smirk to it. “I haven’t, and I’m not about to risk my life trying to get a glimpse. Did you?” He asks as a hand reaches for the cup of coffee in front of him. The whole situation SUCKS, but at least he had caffeine again. [ @gloriouspvrpose ]

holding a cup of tea, he sipped gingerly at it before he shook his head in response. “no, i haven’t. i get the feeling no one has, and that’s probably how he likes it. i doubt anyone is dumb enough to attempt it, not with his threat of ‘doomgeons’, whatever that entails.” he paused for a moment. “truthfully, he sort of reminds me of the phantom of the opera.” he chuckles. “with the whole mask thing. and i suppose their attitudes could be considered similar as well.”

staring up at the residence of doctor doom, loki couldn’t help but feel a little annoyed. having his magic limited was pretty infuriating to him, but there wasn’t much he could do to change that. what little magic he had was used to keep him from turning blue, or to use his shapeshifting abilities depending on the day. hearing someone else speak up, loki raised a brow in response as he looked over at the other. “what, the castle?” she asked. “it’s nice inside, i’m sure. doom has expensive tastes.” a pause. “why? why would you want to go in there?”

“well, apparently it has.” loki replied, her tone annoyed. she wasn’t annoyed with the lawyer specifically, but rather just... in general. “no one is coming to save us or help us, if that is what you’re hoping for. people say to stay optimistic, but how can i?” she shrugged, shaking her head as she poured another round of shots for a customer that was well on his way to getting shiftfaced. “i mean, what can we do? does anyone have any bright ideas?” she raised a brow, pausing for a moment. “let me know if you want something to drink.”

Waiting. Teddy had never been accused of being a patient person, especially in moments like these; where the safety of the people he cared about was in danger. Not that they had been in an ideal situation, with nightmares and dinosaurs everywhere, before the scouting team went dark but now things seemed bad, like really bad.

“We gotta go out there.” He said giving a pointed nodded towards the jungle. “Find the team and get the heck out of dodge.” Teddy said glancing over at the person next to him. it was the obvious thing to do but it by no means simple, which was part of the reason why he stood there talking about it, building up the strength to face another horrible nightmare, if that’s what it came to.

“who is to say we won’t end up in the same situation the scouting team is in?” loki replied, her gaze snapping towards the blonde. not that she didn’t want to go and help them -- of course she did, especially considering thor was apart of the group that was in that mess. “how do you propose we do it? any sort of bright ideas?” she raises a brow before she sighs, her expression softening. “if i’m coming off as sarcastic, i apologize. it isn’t my intention, i’m just -- my brother is in there. i’m worried.” she adjusts the horned helmet atop her head, and her arms fold across her chest. “i’m good at illusions. it’s sort of my thing, but i don’t know if we’ll be able to fight illusion against illusion.”

“HE MUST be somewhere. It felt so real when HE hit me.” RJ lifts a hand to touch his bruised cheek, wincing a little as he tries to collect himself. It felt strange asking for help, knowing that despite how much pain he’s in there should be a sense of pride anyway. RJ should have pushed through all of it, but he didn’t NEED to anymore. He knows this, but still after seeing Colt again having to hear those harsh words again really got to him. “I just need help getting to a first aid kit OR just inside at all really. If it isn’t too much trouble.”

“who hit you?” loki asks, frowning. “i don’t see anyone, really. i’m not sure where he went, whoever he is.” she moves to her feet, gesturing for him to follow. “do you need help walking?” she raised a brow. “i believe i have a rough idea of where they keep the first aid kit in the compound. but i could conjure one if needed, i suppose. where are you injured?” not that she was exactly equipped in first aid, so she had to hope that he knew what he was doing when it came to that. “if you can describe who attacked you, perhaps i could keep a look out for him. since he sounds to be dangerous.”

“I don’t want to talk about it. I’m fine.” Clint pinches the bridge of his nose, and decides to further ignore the nightmare from the previous night. His gaze turns to look at who was in the room with him. The worst imaginable already became a reality — something lived through for five long dreadful years. He didn’t need his brain to remind him of what it felt like, but going back to sleep wasn’t an option anymore. “I hope you’re having a better morning than me. I could really use a cup of coffee — an entire pot actually.”

“you don’t seem fine,” loki replied, green eyes darting over to look at the avenger. with the comment of having a better morning than the other, they laughed and shrugged their shoulders. “i could be better.  i think we all could be better,” they pause. “i could conjure a pot of coffee for you, but that’s only if you want me to. or rather if you trust me to.” they weren’t sure if the other still had reservations about them, and considering their past, they couldn’t exactly blame him. “i wouldn’t do anything to it, if that thought worries you.”

“no, i simply get used to them - sometimes brother, some of your tricks aren’t as good as others you do.” he gave a shrug, smiling brightly at the other before turning back to face the dinosaur that was ahead of them. ”then transform! you can bite it back!” he gave a stage-whispered-yell as he gestured chaotically between loki and the dinosaur. ”yes, of course - not to eat us, but i think we can tame it - just go talk to it, you’re good at this brother!” he hissed, gesturing wildly again. “no, but perhaps train it to be a useful co-existing addition to our lives here?”

loki scoffs softly in response. “well, note to self to do something to change that,” he replies. “and what exactly do you think we would stand to gain from taming this thing? or, better yet, what if -- instead of me shifting into it’s likeliness, why don’t i use magic and make you appear like it? because otherwise it just sounds like ‘get help’ all over again, where you get a good chuckle and i end up hating it,”

“Where did HE go?” The boy was exhausted — a bruise forming on his cheek, dried blood on his face from where his nose had been bleeding, and not to mention the various other injuries scattered over his body. His eyes look up through messy curls at who approaches. “Did you see where he went? He’s going to come back for me — I just know it. You won’t let him take me, right?” His entire body was in pain. RJ hasn’t felt this in a long time, the consequences for disobeying, but he will die trying to keep his freedom. The boy tries to walk, but it wasn’t happening easily even though he was standing up on his feet.

“Can you help me?”

loki looks over at the young boy, puzzled. “what do you speak of? there is no one here but you and i,” she replied, frowning, as her arms folded over her chest. strange things were going on -- mass nightmares, it seemed, along with people seeing things -- and loki didn’t like it. “i’m telling you, there is no one else here. i don’t even know who he is,” she added, looking around just in case to see if she could spot this man the boy talked of, but to no avail. “i don’t know. that depends. help you how?”

“oh, i agree that things will only get worse.” kate wasn’t intending to jinx anything, but, with acid rain, there had to be something worse. “i saw a show once with acid fog. i just hope the weather isn’t all deadly around here.” kate was concerned. they would never be safe out here. “maybe we could take the fallen trees and build temporary shelters in case there’s others or use them to reinforce fences around the buildings.”

“suppose i shouldn’t be surprised fiction has dreamt up these things.” loki replied, laughing softly. with the mention of temporary shelters, he pauses to think about it for a moment before he nods. “it could work, i think. plenty of people with super strength around who could do the heavy lifting. unless we want those of us with magic to help with that portion of it.” he said before he shrugged. “part of me wishes we may get out of here before we need to worry about more of the many problems we’ve run into.”

what is something that your muse is fascinated with?

knives and daggers. loki absolutely loves a good dagger. they have a great deal of them, generally conjured, and usually very intricate.  the handles, for example, usually vary in colors and designs. if they aren’t conjuring the daggers, they enjoy generally collecting them. on the other side of things, they’re also quite fascinated with midgardian food, having a particular interest in breakfast foods (especially bacon) and fine dining.

since she could fly, america lifted herself off the ground hovering just enough in the air to go search for anyone (like her) that might be lost in the jungle. she hated the idea that someone could be out there alone. the jungle was hard enough to survive when with people. it felt almost impossible when on your own. she’d gone a little ways out when she spotted a familiar frame in front of her. as soon as she recognized them she narrowed her eyes and dropped to the ground to approach loki. “hey, you miss me, chico?” a smirk plastered her face as she neared, already prepared to greet him with a swift kick aimed at his chest.

loki’s brows knit together as he turns to face the woman, not recognizing her at all. “perhaps you have me mistaken for another,” he begins, tilting his head to the side slightly, eyes narrowed. twin daggers are hidden, quite literally up the sleeves of his suit jacket. suits may not be the wisest thing to wear in this sort of environment, but loki didn’t care much. as long as he looked good, it was worth it. “who exactly are you?” he questions, arms folding across his chest. “you seem to know me, yet i do not know you. it seems only fair.”

Pyro raised a perfectly shaped brow, a smirk tugging on the corner of his lips as the dagger materialised for her. “That a threat or a promise?” Okay, so maybe antagonising the beautiful woman with the ability to form weapons from nothing was absolutely the wrong thing to do, but Pyro had never met a bad idea that he didn’t like. “Because trust me… I can get a lot more irritating, real quick.” He continued, even taking a few steps towards her. “But no, sweetheart. Not everyone I meet, and certainly not you. Not unless you’re one of the X-Men, then one hundred percent, I am definitely blaming you.”

“both?” loki replied, her head tilting to the side slightly as she twirled the dagger in her hand between her fingers. “if you are aware you’ve already annoyed me, at least somewhat, why would you wish to irritate me further?” she raised a brow. the concept was strange to her, but it also peaked her curiosity. with his next statement, loki couldn’t help but laugh and shake her head. “i do not belong to any silly little hero group. besides, are the x-men not reserved for mutants? because in that case, i do not qualify, being an asgardian,” she replied with a small chuckle. “well, at least we got that settled. however, i do not believe this situation -- or the acid rain -- are to be blamed on the little x-men. but blame who you wish to, it doesn’t affect me if it isn’t me being blamed.” she shrugged.

he was impressed loki wasn’t lost on earth—midgardian?—pop culture. but he wasn’t going to admit that out loud. “i personally think falling into the sarlacc pit’s worse. apparently once you fall, it chews on you for a thousand years. not the best way to go, in my opinion.” just the thought of being eaten alive by some alien lifeform was giving him the creeps. “not really. but peter binges on it enough, you retain that much information about it.”

“hm,” loki paused for a moment to think. “yes, i suppose that would be worse. it has been a while since i watched those movies, admittedly. it’s just slow torture for many years. i can’t really think of a worse way to go. i was going to say that i wouldn’t wish it on my enemies, but...” he trailed off, chuckling before shrugging his shoulders. he didn’t admit outloud who he’d pick this for, but laufey came to mind. thanos as well. too bad both were already dead and that this pit didn’t actually exist. “what about you?”

While Johnny may not be able to turn people into frogs or any other creature, he could still appreciate the way Loki would prank people. He thought it was brilliant, and as a prankster himself he was truly invested in the story — the conversation in general at least. “It’s so funny! How could you not find that amusing? Your mother sounds cool.” The boy admits as he flashes a bright grin. “I love pranks! Are you kidding? The best form of humor! I tend to pull them on my teammate Ben the most. He doesn’t always appreciate it, but if you ask me they’re pretty funny. The smallest of things will get to him, even if I unscrew his chair so it falls underneath him.”

“she was,” loki replied, his gaze dropping to the ground, though the smile still remained on his face. he harbored a lot of guilt about his mother’s death, but still he tried to surround her memory with positive thoughts. he loved her -- he always had, and he always would. “different senses of humor, i suppose, between the two of us compared to ben and my father,” he shrugged. “sounds like he has a short fuse. those types of people are typically fun to work with. i’ve tried messing with heimdall in the past, but it is -- was -- difficult to catch that man by surprise. suppose that’s why i stick to pranking thor,” he chuckled.

“The technical term is ‘geek’,” Tony said. “In the circumstances, I’d say that you’re much more of a nerd than I am.” Fishing in his pocket, he found a pack of random berries that he’d gathered while running around, and popped a handful into his mouth as he assessed the scattered mass of parts around him.

“And in this case, my being a geek is quite possibly the thing that’s going to save us. General ‘us’, that is, not necessarily either of us in particular. Now, are you going to make yourself useful, or are you just going to stand there and make smart ass comments?”

“please do explain how i am more of a nerd than you,” loki replied, narrowing her eyes as at him. “just because that may be so doesn’t mean i can’t still call you a nerd. or geek -- they’re the same thing as far as i am concerned,” she shrugged her shoulders, moving to stand next to tony and pick up one of the parts, inspecting it. “i can do this all day,” loki replied, mimicking captain america. “how exactly can i help? i do not even know what you plan to do with all this junk,” she said, allowing the part she’d picked up to fall back to the ground before she gestured vaguely to the parts.

stephen opened and parted his lips and then sealed them just as quickly, instead gaining a look of perplexity on his face and turning to look at the other with a raised brow. “how does… one ‘cancel’ an entire grouping of creatures? is that in your skill set, loki?” he asked, offering a small smile before turning to face him fully. “furthermore, was it peter who taught you internet lingo?”

loki chuckled, a smirk on his face before he shrugged his shoulders. “i haven’t the slightest idea, but i’d like to figure it out. i certainly wish it was,” he replied, before scoffing at the idea that he was taught. “no, no, i don’t need children to teach me about memes and internet slang. i’ve been back for nearly a whole year -- thought it’d be good to... catch up.” he replied, shrugging his shoulders. “did the spider-child teach you internet lingo?”
