Double trouble, double savior
Two set of steps disturbed the quieteness of the forest, following two Pokemon happily playing with each others. The two males wore matching smile as they watched Umbreon jump on Pikachu's back, only for the mouse to waggle free and dart off.
Satoshi and Shigeru, the two current Gym Leaders of Tokiwa City, had decided to go into Tokiwa Forest for some relaxation, and maybe a bit of training. One would think they would not have a mind to battle and train when out to relax, but when Pokemon and battles were both a passion and a job...
It was wonderful, not feeling as if you were actually working.
"Pika?" Umbreon stopped beside Pikachu, his ears alert too and just as much confusion displayed on his face. They looked backward at their Trainer as if confirming they were still here, their eyes stopping more on Satoshi. Then, they exchanged a look, lost, before rushing off with backward calls for their Trainers to follow.
"I wonder what is wrong..." Shigeru voiced, both boys having already starting running after their Pokemon. "Wait-You hear that?" Sounds of battle could reach their ears, and soon they found their two Pokemon watching something from behind trees and bushes.
When Shigeru and he found themselves behind their Pokemon, Satoshi had to prevent a shout of surprise. "What-Is it me?" Well, younger, but still. Satoshi had to blink to make sure that, yes, a younger looking version of himself was currently protesting vehemently as a very familiar Nyarth-shaped balloon started to rise, another Pikachu in a cage.
"... I thought they stopped that years ago?" Shigeru said, puzzled. Then again, he wouldn't be surprised if they might not be the one they knew. With another Satoshi in distress just there-and did he hear Team Rocket using other names that the ones they knew?-Shigeru would not be much surprised by anything right now.
If anything, a smirk formed. "Now Satoshi-kun, we can't really let this unfold without acting, right?"
Satoshi grinned, nodding as both glanced down at their partners. Pikachu and Umbreon gazed up with looks of determination-and evenj pride for Umbreon-as they nodded their agreement. That would be training as good as any.
"Quick Attack into Iron Tail!" Their two voiced blended as they called out the commands, and their Pokemon darted with practiced synchronicity. By the time Team Rocket had looked toward the emerging yellow and black blurrs, both Pokemon had jumped high thanks to the speed. They spinned into the air next, tail glowing silver as they charged their attack. Then, the moves hit the cages sharply, breaking it for the other Pikachu to fall.
Umbreon caught the other Pikachu as gently as he could where he could reach, ending up having his fangs carefully clutching at the scruff of yellow furred's neck. He let go of the other Pikachu as soon as his paws touched the ground, unwilling to risk hurting the other accidently. Meanwhile, Pikachu stood just in front of Umbreon and his counterpart, electricity sparkling from his cheeks.
And of course, Satoshi and Shigeru had run off to stand close to the Satoshi-look-alike, Satoshi softly reassuring the other that it would be fine as he undid the ropes, while Shigeru was sending death glares at the trio. "You better scamper away before we decide one attack was enough." He growled threateningly, Umbreon now crounched beside Pikachu with deep growls coming from his throat.
