hmm i am very on the fence about how old Laurence the First Vicar was at the height of the catastrophe... because on one hand they chose a young sounding VA for him (at least in the english version of the game) but on the other hand, if i recall, there is a statue heavily implied to be him somewhere i don't recall off the top of my head (?) but he's a lot older in that depiction which means it comes down potentially to how quickly shit hit the fan, which i don't remember if we ever really find out. i need to brush up on my BB lore again, been a while lol

i still admittedly picture Laurence being on the younger side because of the whole new blood/old blood with him and Willem, follies of youthful ambition vs the staunchness of elders, ect. and how that led to the demise of Yarnham but that probably is just coming from how much younger his VA sounds compared to Willem... ofc Laurence was a student at the point of the cutscene but to me it always felt like the beast scourge and the fall off happened slowly, slowly, then all at once which makes pinning down character age pretty tricky lmfao

I'm not usually one to complain but I just saw pics of the Nightreign DLC characters and I don't have much issue with The Scholar (he's clearly a Bloodborne Choir reference and I fuck heavy with that) but the lady... ah yes, another conventionally attractive woman in the cast of conventionally attractive women that is going to be fanarted to oblivion on my twitter feed despite being nothing.

it's boring. it's sauceless. the guys get to have variance in their designs and the women all have to be pretty little waifs. their personalities don't even remotely make up for it either, unlike other same-faced fromsoft women lmao
