The life on this earth is nothing but a blink in comparison to eternity - but it's the only chance we get to make a decision: Either Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior or the price of sin which is nothing but eternal separation from God, short: eternal death. We were created because God Himself loves us, He wants us to live in a relationship with Him, pain, death and darkness never were part of His plan but only the effect of us making use of our free will, a will given to us because God doesn't want marionettes, but He wants exactly one thing: Our heart, freely given to Him because He's the only one able to really take care of it - for all eternity. All things in this world will perish, you won't be able to take just one inch with you, therefore my question: Is it really worth to continue living in rebellion against the one who just wants your best? The one who is almighty? The one who respected His life worth nothing so you wouldn't have to die if you accepted Him? Will you continue to choose the temporary, incomplete and unsatisfying love of this world over the love in person which is the creator Himself? There's only one real goal in life: Knowing God, finally knowing love. Cause every other goal is nothing but grasping for the wind. Being a Christian doesn’t mean being a good person, but following the Only One who is good.
So stumble after him. Don’t think you have to run this marathon in one day. Sooner or later, you’ll be moving from trauma to trophies. Celebrate the small victories. Even then, be humble to recognize it’s all His work.
Our lives must be free from the wax of hypocrisy. Our commitment must be genuine. If we live lives of sincere commitment to Him, we will leave no room for Satan to gain an advantage on the battlefield. What’s more, God will be glorified in us.
