guess who's got a head full of another au? (it's julius. that's who.) anyways, jelly dearest and i have been bouncing ideas off of each other for an au, so i thought i might present them to y'all for your approval. (and this is gonna be battinreeve, because of course it is.)

clark kent is running the daily planet. he's the boss everyone wants; cares for his workers, great sense of humor, easygoing, and the cherry on top, a world class dilf. freshly divorced and with money to blow, he's prime sugar daddy material.

bruce wayne is going undercover at the daily planet to investigate the suspicious murder of one of the planet's higher ups. he tells himself not to get too attached, to not make connections - which all flies out the window when he meets his boss.

clark is taken with bruce almost instantly. he's quiet, attentive, insanely smart, and not to mention cute. clark can tell that there's far more to bruce than meets the eye, and he needs to learn more.

on the flipside, bruce has a hopeless crush on clark. he's tall, friendly, soft spoken, and built like a brick shithouse. bruce isn't used to feeling small around other people, but in clark's presence, he kind of enjoys it.

Thinking about how a year ago I was interviewed by a very popular radio show about my long COVID symptoms (I was over a year into experiencing them). They ended up not using my story because “it was too sad” and “I didn’t recover like other people”. They told me to contact them when I had recovered to potentially share my story in the future. I wrote back and told them that most people with long COVID will never recover, and that they weren’t accurately reporting on how COVID affects people. They never replied.

A year later and my symptoms still haven’t improved at all. Anyways, here’s your reminder that the COVID reporting you’re reading (at least in the U.S.) is probably not accurate and is not actually reflecting the suffering of real people.
