Hello and welcome! We are the Patchwork, a plural being whose existence most closely aligns with polymindence, but refers to themself as "plural". Any pronouns for us, and you can refer to us as Quilt if you'd like.

We're non-SAM aromantic and we have a queerplatonic partner, so no flirting, please, but we love to make friends!

Interests include our art, some fandoms (feel free to ask!), neogenders neopronouns and alternate gender systems, the wind, writing, our friends, and linguistics. We are very normal about linguistics I promise

Currently, the Patchwork is in flux, and the only patches we're labeling are those we can pinpoint distinct feelings for. These are:

Nati and Quilt, the external and internal host-half. Nati uses she/he/it pronouns, and Quilt uses any non-themed neopronouns.

Chase, whom we associate with masculinity, being a teenager, red, and low empathy. He uses he/hx pronouns.

Lynne, whom we associate with femininity, joy, salty food, and the outdoors. Fae uses she/fae pronouns.

Fafren, whom we associate with alterhumanity, dragonhood, possessiveness, and interpersonal relationships. Xe uses it/xe/zhe pronouns.

Little, whom we associate with feeling small, bunnies, being a bunny, curiosity, and love. Bun uses bun/buns pronouns.

There may also be someone named Lilian here. But also not really. Its complicated.

Yes, that works! You can also just call us "Patchwork" as a group title or "Quilt" because I'm always here anyways :) /pos

Since Chase is a bxy (boy and genderless at the same time) and Nati is bigenderthing (both girlthing and boything) we end up presenting masculine or androgynous fairly often! I don't care how we present because gender is incomprehensible to me but they do, so here's some of their tips:

Wear open hoodies or patterned shirts. Even when wearing a girl's swimsuit, Chase did reportedly feel "boy as fuck" because of how he pulled back our hair and put on an oversized open shirt.

Let your hair hang. Tucking your hair behind your ears or pulling it in front of your shoulders looks more feminine for some reason—even when we had long hair, letting it lay on our back didn't give hxm dysphoria.

Another factor is how he and Nati carry themselves. He slouches and spreads his legs often and generally takes up space. Nati will often do large, loose movements and isn't afraid to put her arms up on things.

Pants that go slightly over your shoes. Pants with larger/wider bottoms. Sometimes, dark shoes.

We have naturally broad shoulders, which Nati is always a fan of despite some other people's mixed feelings. Wearing tank tops with thin straps can accentuate the broadness of your shoulders. Also, try to use tank tops with larger... sleeve holes? Have them big enough to go a ways down your ribcage.

Beanies specifically. They cover a lot of hair and they're good at interfering with what might otherwise a feminine hairstyle.

Big shoes. Specifically shoes with big soles or lugs (the shapes that stick out on the bottom for traction). Though this might just be Chase's preference.

Making your movements a bit more "low energy." Again, this might just be how hx is, but Chase will turn his eyes instead of turn his head, flop hxs hand around, and generally make our body seem a bit more heavy.

If someone treats you femininely or like you're a girl, try and laugh it off. Act like you're so self-confident in your own masculinity that it's frankly ridiculous other people aren't. That kind of confidence makes other people feel like they missed something and made a mistake by treating you femininely even if they can't pinpoint why.

Try for vocalizations lower in the throat. Instead of chuckling or giggling try huffing or breathing out from the back of your throat. It has a bit of a lower and more casual sound.

I hope this helped in some way! Chase and Nati are sort of in unique positions where our body, wardrobe, and mannerisms are often more on the feminine side, so they have to do temporary things to make themselves feel more masculine. Or, you know, boy as fuck.

Since you can't do any permanent changes yet either, these kind of tips might be a bit more helpful to you! Good luck :D /gen

we had a long conversation while I cleaned. some of it was about me cleaning, and some of it was just about the situation we're stuck with and coming to terms with how we feel about being us. because I'm low empathy and experience very little emotional bleedover, I'm good at stopping spirals and being productive because I can just Do It. however, it also means I dont really feel equipped to continue conversations or thoughts from before I'm there because I dont feel the things the conversations or thoughts are based on. so, you know. pros and cons

I really like the colors!! Teal and pink is an underrated combo for sure and the lilac is so soothing!

I'm also glad you're accepting aspects of yourself and reaching out for what you need! Its hard for us certainly so I'm sure it was hard for you too but I think you're a lovely boy and (if you don't mind) I would love to do a little sketch of the new sona I think the hair and clothes are sooooo fun

Agere, anything and tips!

1) long shower and a fat nap (mileage may vary with chronic illness/fatigue)

2) putting Little in front and bun can cry it out (we sometimes can't cry so bun's our crier basically)

3) angrily washing dishes. Lynne just really likes dishes tho so maybe not applicable

4) knock back a non-alcoholic drink like a shot. I dont know why this works

5) giving characters we like complicated genders and pronouns because that's Quilt's special interest

6) walk around nature and (if you're angry) angrily compliment nature. cathartic and also once you calm down you realize you are being very silly and you laugh. also you get to see plants so it's a win

7) children's coloring book

8) rearrange your room (or your phone screen, or get new blankets, or redo your desk, or change your computer background...). Manual labor can be a good outlet (again mileage may vary with chronic illness/fatigue please do not work yourself into a flare up) and a new environment is refreshing for your brain

Funny way to tell between Lynne and Chase—Lynne loves to open faer eyes so wide and Chase's eyes are almost always half closed. No idea about Fafren or the other two but it is very funny. Lynne what are you looking at...
