Definitions: “Glamour Spells” and “Glamours”
Good morning, Witchblr! I’ve been seeing a lot of misdefinition and word usage that’s a little iffy, so I wanted to set the record straight:
A Glamour (or a glamour spell) is a magical enchantment (or potion, or spell, or blessing) that causes the spellcaster, or recipient, to be seen in a different way. This does not specifically have to do with beauty, makeup, or the English dictionary definition of “glamour”. A “glamour” is merely an enchantment type that adjusts or changes your outward appearance, or people’s perception of your outward appearance.
Many traditional glamours require a lot of effort to maintain, and are usually for stuff like “a glamour for fooling people into thinking you’re wealthy” or “a glamour for skulking around in the night invisibly while you steal your neighbor’s cows”.
This has been your friendly neighborhood vocab PSA! :>

Venus Callipyge
The statue is here treated with the mischievous and light taste of the so-called Hellenistic “Rococò” of the 2nd century BC.
Aphrodite, about to bathe, raises her dress and turns her head back to admire the reflection on the water of her splendid posterior nudity, justifying perhaps the modern name of kallipygos ("of the beautiful buttocks").
