Important things to remember this year: - drinking water everyday is probably the best thing you can do for yourself - make your bed everyday because it will start your day off with one easy task done. look at how accomplished you feel!! - keep your room clean, clutter makes your head feel cloudy - you are a work in progress, don’t waste time trying to be perfect for people you don’t even know - when you start to feel sad towards the middle of the day, blast 1989 too loud and force yourself to dance. you’ll feel better, trust me - it’s okay not to wear makeup - it’s okay to leave your hair a wild mess - if you’re heartbroken, be sad for an hour or two and then realize you should be your number one priority and that you deserve better. you always deserve better. p.s. you’re beautiful even though you never feel it

🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹 1. Drink more water because I want to respect and treat the beautiful vessel that is my body better. 2. Keep my room clean because a tidy room helps me focus better and strips some of my anxiety away. 3. Write things down so I don’t forget them because I am the worst at remembering assignments and chores I need to get done. 4. Go to sleep at a decent hour because getting 8 hours of sleep will rejuvenate my vessel and I’ll spend less money on under eye concealer. 5. Manage my time wisely so I can go to sleep stress free and feel like I’ve completed the tasks I set out for that day. 6. Do my schoolwork when it’s assigned because doing it right before it’s due gives me knots in my back. 7. Eat healthier because I want to feed my body nutritious things so I can flourish into the beautiful, healthy rose I am meant to be. 8. Work out more to help relieve stress and look and feel healthy and at my best. 9. Take time to drink my morning coffee because whenever I miss it I suffer the rest of the day and when I drink it every little sip is heavenly. 10. Eat three times a day because I don’t want to deprive my beautiful vessel of what she needs in order to be its happiest and healthiest. 11. Moisturize every day because I love looking like a glowing goddess. 12. Don’t let myself feel uncomfortable just so others can feel comfortable because I fall in too deep and hit a breaking point where I go insane and shut everything out and I DESERVE BETTER. 13. Don’t allow boys to disrespect me or my body because I deserve respect and affection. 14. Focus on myself because at the end of the day I have to live with myself and my decisions and I’m my own responsibility and nobody is mine. 15. Dress like I care about how I look because when I look good I feel good, when I feel good I do good. 16. Go hiking more because I’m surrounded by mountains so why not explore them? 17. Volunteer more because the world needs more positivity so spread that shit like room temperature butter on toast baby! 18. Say “yes” more because I wanna tell my kids and grandkids about my amazing life. 19. Create art more because I always want to but I allow other things that don’t make me as happy get in the way of that. I also wanna have more art to hang up and add to my portfolio. 20. Speak up for the things I care about because I have a beautiful voice that cannot and should not be silenced! 21. Give people 2nd chances sometimes because I fuck up sometimes and would want a second chance. 22. Go to more concerts because they make me happiest. 🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹
2017 Goals & Resolutions
a love letter reminder to myself
Self Care:
Drink more water. Staying hydrated is important! It not only moisturizes your skin and improves your mood, but helps with bloating.
Breathe deeply. Remember tips for struggling with anxiety and do breathing/other mindfulness exercises.
Exercise. No one likes to start or continue, really, but the feeling after a workout is great. Healthy weight loss. (This might help with the anxiety and replenishing endorphins).
Eat healthy. This can be little snacks throughout the day or nutritious meals. Even though it’s not chocolate, it will make you feel better in the long run.
Moisturize often and excessively. Find a good lotion which doesn’t irritate your skin and moisturize daily after a good, thorough, full-body clean (face - it might help with the oily skin! -, hair - condition! - , body, etc).
Keep a clean room. A clear room makes for a clear mind, less objects to visually process and you know where things are. This also helps when studying because the material is the only complex thing you have to focus on. (see also: stay organized)
Remember: a bad day is okay. Not every day has to be perfect. The worst that can happen is not the end of the world.
Remember: a rest day is okay. Give your body and mind a break when needed. Human bodies are not meant to withstand constant physical and mental stress. Recharging is necessary. Everyone does it. Take care of yourself.
Be positive. A good outlook can improve your entire mood or a situation instantly. It may reduce stress. People are generally happier when they’re positive.
Remember to take medication at the same time daily. Routine is good, and it likely improves medical performance.
It’s okay to be angry/sad/disappointed but it won’t last. Every single end-of-the-world situation you’ve had you have survived. You made it. The sun can still shine when it’s raining through bad situations.
Try not to overthink. It’s like analysis. Look at only what is there and nothing else. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, look at a similar past accomplishment (essay, etc). You are capable. It’s okay.
Do things that make you happy. Every day is for you. Even if you didn’t get to watch tv that day or read a book you love, take joy in the little things, like feeling fresh after a shower, or listen to a nice playlist while doing chores or studying.
There is always time for happiness. Relates to above.
Try not to procrastinate. Remember how good you feel when you finish a task early?
Love yourself. Self-love is so important. You learned last year to love all of your physical appearances. Your harshest critic is yourself, so take pride in your accomplishments. You know all your struggles, so for as much as you berate yourself, you can love yourself too. Don’t under appreciate or fail to take time to recognize personal accomplishments, goals, and progress, even if others don’t see/believe it. You validate your own success and happiness.
