Possible touch-ups on finished translations. Will be looking over them and determining if anything needs an update, and if so, I will update them. This will mainly just be slight rephrasing, or adjusting manga bubbles for the mangas to make them look nicer. As far as rephrasing, basically, sometimes when translating, a sentence will look like: "when this happens, this follows" in JP, and I translate it with the same structure and forget to readjust it to "this follows when this happens". Usually when this happens it's fine to have it that way, but it would just sound better adjusted. Nothing major will change. I'm not sure when I'll do this.

#MOSES #MOSES SANDOR #he never leaves #Legendia was my second Tales game but it and Moses never left #also tho Shinon Fire Emblem. he too remains #they're kinda even if I'm being honest #the thing is it's EASY to say it's Moses #but it's very very difficult to say it's NOT Shinon. in fact it feels impossible!#I feel correct in saying it's Moses... but I feel incorrect in saying “it's Moses therefore it can't be Shinon”#also when I'm not really “in” the FE fandom at any present time or not interested in FE at a particular point #the Tellius games are never included in that. I'll still play them and be just as invested #and I've beaten those games more times than you're ready to hear #even if I don't care abt FE at any given moment I'm still likely to pick up a Tellius game at any random point #and I'll always have a nice full happy heart when Shinon's with me (and a lot of dead foes)#bc of Reasons (tm of unfortunate circumstances) I haven't played Legendia in a long time #but as soon as I can again I will... no pun intended... but back in the day that was like #all I played along with Dark Cloud 2 (Dark Chronicle). I played them like crazy. played Legendia so many times #I didn't keep track of how many times like I did with FE #but in fairness I lost count of FE9 too once until I got Ashnard in the bonus trials #bc you unlock him at 15 playthroughs and that's how I was able to keep track again LMAO #and that was many many years ago. I may not remember my Legendia play count but #I do remember it was all I played for a while... and then all I played with Dark Cloud 2 #I did play and get to know some other Tales in between but Legendia was my priority #and Moses' CQ is still equally as impactful on me and I still adore his backstory and his purpose for fighting in the present #I'll never give up on Moses. even if Bamco doesn't even know he's one of their characters #they have no idea. they don't even know he exists. but me. I remember. I know. I've been there. I go there #I'll never forget him in Bamco's place. I'll always wait for new Moses merch #if Legendia remaster drops I'm sure I'll have fifty thousand DMs and I'm sure I'll be shilling for merch #but listen... I realize most of my followers don't know Innocence, but if you're interested in some fun content for Yuri and Flynn, the Twin Brave Innocence demo is now available to play fully in English (not to be confused with the other demo that does not feature any exclusive content).

For anyone who just happens to stumble upon this, this is a Tales musou game's demo, featuring Ruca and Spada as playable characters to celebrate Innocence R's release. Spada's story is from the main game's serious scenario, and Ruca is given an exclusive comical scenario for the demo, featuring Yuri and Flynn.

More details are here. You will need PSP hardware or PPSSPP to play this game.

I don't have any screenshots of Yuri and Flynn's dialogue on hand, because it's one of those things where I've worked on Twin Brave so much that I have no drive to play it right now lol. If you want to see the boys in the demo, you'll have to play through it!

If you plan on playing the main game when it's ready, playing this demo might give you a handle on the game's functionality before the main game is out. I can't give a date for the main game's release, as I'm still working on the translation for it and other team members have their areas of work that are still in progress, but it's pretty far in and we'll continue working on it until it's complete. :)

This was part of a longer stream and the video was recorded on a phone, but because this was streamed online and not included in the blu-ray release, this is the only footage we have of it.

TL Note: There's a part where Tsubasa explains that he thinks he's "impolite". Kana uses "kinda like" to express what he's saying. The word he uses here basically means things such as "I mean" / "How should I put it" / "Or rather", etc, but those aren't phrases that really have a "casual" form in English, so it's written this way with the emphasis on "kinda", to retain the meaning behind what Tsubasa is explaining.

Essentially, Tsubasa is expressing how he sometimes speaks too casually, which can be seen as impolite in Japanese society, depending on the situation it's used in (i.e. it would be acceptable in a close group of friends if everyone was comfortable with it, but not necessarily in a work environment. I say "necessarily" here because while it's a general rule of thumb, these people are technically Tsubasa's co-workers and they don't find him impolite). Tsubasa's concern is basically that he isn't polite/formal enough, and recognizes he's more prone to speaking casually/informally than using the "proper" version of words, and that this makes him impolite.

Flynn definitely has to roll for composure when Yuri makes that face. He can still speak his mind on the matter, because this is Flynn, but that pout absolutely works in Yuri's favor at times and he has no idea the effect he's having on Flynn. (Unfiltered Fluri thoughts at all times on my blog, in case you're new here~) Please don't repost my art without credit to the original!

Another commission from @jennerarts! I wanted something between the time Ruca was unconscious from being stabbed and when he woke up. Since he was unconscious for three days, I feel like Spada kept checking on him and staying for long periods. I asked for a little tear to be added since Spada felt so guilty and upset, and blamed himself for the stab happening at all. :'(

I can't help wondering what it was like for Leon in those last moments of being with Stahn. He never had anyone who cared about him sincerely besides Marian and Chaltier (both of who were more like guardians to him and family imo. They weren't people he just happened upon throughout the course of his life, basically. He was with them all along), and that was true even through the course of the game (and this shows in how nobody really reacted to his death with grief or mourning. Rutee was in shock for a completely different reason, but I would argue if she'd never known, she would never have reacted the way she did).

Stahn didn't want to leave. He didn't want to lose Leon. What did it feel like, knowing he'd closed himself off to the world, but there Stahn was, screaming for him and breaking down at the thought of losing him? For the first time in his life, he saw someone love him so sincerely that he couldn't bear the thought of getting out alive if it meant losing Leon.

One of my favorite parts of their relationship is how furious Stahn gets when Leon fights them, and not at all because Leon is fighting them. He's pissed off and stressed because he's tired of Leon suffering. He doesn't understand why this one, lone person has to suffer so much. Why the world won't give this one person a break and just let him be happy. Stahn is furious, not because Leon "betrayed" them, but because Leon is hurting and has to keep hurting all alone. Stahn isn't mad at Leon at all. He's pissed about Leon's circumstances, and the fact that because of them, Leon has been resistant to anyone caring about him.

He's not mad about the fight at all. He's mad for Leon's sake. He's mad that Leon won't let him in. He's not mad about a (literal) fight they had. He's mad that Leon isn't happy. He wants Leon to be happy.

The thing I love most in romances is seeing someone be angry on the other person's behalf. They're not mad at the person. They're mad at everything the world is throwing at that person. And honestly, I feel like a lot of canon romances aren't even written like that to a degree. It's often "this person makes me happy for what they can do for me, and that they make me happy". It's not "I love them for who they are".

Nobody else ever spoke up for Leon. Nobody else tried to understand why he pushed people away. Nobody acted like Leon was just some other guy in the area and could be spoken to. Stahn didn't want anything back. He just wanted to talk and have a friend. But then that turned into trying to understand him on a deeper level, and that turned into actual rage at how Leon could never win.

All Stahn wants is that Leon is living a happy and fulfilling life. He doesn't give a flying fuck what Leon can do for him. I think Stahn's feelings for Leon are genuinely some of the most pure emotions and feelings I've ever seen in media. His unfiltered rage at how horrible Leon's life has been has nothing to do with anything else except Leon's pain.

And then at the end of it all, Leon gets... nothing. A horrible, slow death and then one day, branded a traitor by society. By people who weren't there and didn't know the truth. And Stahn can't come to terms with that, barring anything post game that we don't see. Stahn can't reason with what happened to Leon. His anger turns into revenge. He has no outlet for his emotions because he's so angry for Leon's sake. That anger consumes him for a while, and he doesn't know how to cope with how awful Leon's fate was and how it happened.

His relationship with Leon doesn't benefit him in any intended way. He just cared. Stahn doesn't handle grief well, and he doesn't handle death well... but I'd argue he took losing Leon way worse than he took losing anyone else. Honestly? I feel like he maybe took losing Leon worse than any other Tales character took losing their loved ones. Not to say the writing was bad for any other cases of loss, but I think Stahn's feelings were a lot more overbearing for him than other relationships.

And the last thing Leon ever saw of any other human contact, after a life of what was basically misery and loneliness barring one person and a sword that was with him his whole life, was someone screaming for him and panicking upon realizing what was happening. Leon didn't warn him ahead of time, either, and I think that's indicative enough that he knew Stahn would never, ever allow that if he told them the plan. He kept it from them because he knew better, which means he knew Stahn wouldn't take it well. He knew Stahn would never accept it. But he wanted to save Stahn. He wanted to save the one person who reached out a hand to him and waited for him to take it. The one person who couldn't bear losing him and didn't know how to function without him. Stahn came to love the Leon he knew because he came to understand the Leon nobody else bothered to try to understand on that level.

The last thing Leon ever saw before having to just wait and die... was someone shouting and screaming for him and already grieving him. He died knowing someone loved him and couldn't bear losing him. After everything Leon went through, he died knowing he had Stahn, the most simple fool he'd ever met with the most genuine, sincere, loving heart he'd ever met.

And I just wonder how Leon felt seeing that happen, after thinking he'd never have that kind of love.

I will fight for these two to the ends of the earth. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

(Disclaimer: this isn't discounting his relationship with Chaltier. I return you to the part where I mentioned Chaltier has just always been there. He also did not have the option to decide he wanted nothing to do with Leon like anyone else Leon met in his life. But it also doesn't change the fact that Leon didn't trust or like anyone beyond two people including Chaltier, who were always there. They didn't walk into his life like the main cast did, and they weren't the ordinary citizens who just liked him for his looks and talent.)

Does it involve Yuri and Flynn? Well, partially yes, actually. But it just happened to work out that way, which was very very nice.

Hello, hello~! @goldentigerfestival and I are back with more Tales of the Stage content~! This time, we bring you subtitles for the Roundtable Talk (a.k.a. cast interviews) that were included in the Blu-ray package.

It was a very insightful watch because we get to learn a little bit more about the cast behind the stage, and their thoughts and processes regarding the game, its story, their roles, and their performances.

The cast interviews are divided into two: Team Yuri and Team Flynn.

Team Yuri's members are Yoshizawa Tsubasa (Yuri Lowell), Tanaka Naoki (Repede), Miyu Suenaga (Estelle), Kondo Risa (Rita), and Uchida Kensuke (Don Whitehorse).

Team Flynn's members are Katou Shou (Flynn), Kitano Satsuki (Karol), Katou Mao (Raven), Terada Shinju (Judith), and Izumi Shuhei (Alexei)

I didn't have a specific scene in mind for this so much as I was feeling all fluffy for their relationship in spinoff games. Many of the crossover spinoffs pair them together in some way or have them in the same group, but Leon always gets to have his development when he gets a story, and stays with Stahn in the end, and Stahn always fights so hard for him and keeps believing in him. It always reminds me what they could've had in Destiny too, and who Leon could've become if he'd made it out.

I do feel like this is generally how Stahn would've reacted to seeing Leon if Leon had made it out of the mines after Stahn thought he lost him, though. Maybe Leon would have also had a lot to think about...

Acts Like Leon. but still stays with Stahn in the end or vice versa #and Leon just gives in and lets it be #or you have like Crestoria where their stories are one and the same together #you'd think they had an “I'm with stupid” and “I'm stupid” pair of shirts #but on the back it says Do Not Separate on both the shirts #that's how these spinoffs treat these two LOL #Stahn literally fighting for the sole purpose of avenging Leon for a while in Destiny still gets me tho #it takes so much to infuriate Stahn... and seeing him aggressively aiming for revenge is so sad #I fully believe Stahn saw right through Leon's hmph-y defenses and that's why he pressed so hard to be friends #and I think he saw all the cracks forming as they traveled together #he wanted to see who Leon would be once he got over that hill #thankfully he's able to find out in some of the spinoffs...#praise be to the spinoffs that feed me additional stahn/leon content bc i'm not even starved but like... im starved

i am thankful each and every day of my life that i remember that tales spinoffs exist and they always give leon a happy ending with stahn somewhere.

Also on the note of that drama CD, I think it's adorable that Yuri does something good for someone and they ask for his name, and at first Yuri is about to do his usual, nah forget it, it's not a big deal. But then he remembers he's in Karol's body and decides to tell the guy Karol's full name and that he's the boss of their guild, so the guy thinks it was Karol who did it. 😭

Later he also is glaring (had "a scary look in his eyes", according to Raven) at Raven for causing Karol (who was in his body) to be chased by people who wanted Raven to pay his drinking tabs and having to use up his savings to pay them. He got so protective of his boy...!!! 😭

#GTF Yuri Things #these drama CDs really are just like... Yuri being protective of Karol #that's it that's the whole of the drama CDs we can all go home now #drama CDs in summary: yuri gets defensive and protective over karol and wants him to be safe and protected. the end.#these CDs are such a mixed bag bc there really are some AWFUL jokes in these #but then you have the beautiful stuff like that and the ACTUALLY funny silly stuff #this CD is unfortunately very much a mixed bag just by itself bc the nature of the situation #makes the jokes extremely unfunny and extremely questionable #there was any number of things they could've done with this so those jokes were sooo wholly unnecessary 😭#thankfully there's SOME good in this one akjfhsjgd
