casually filing away this major killjoys vibe (X)
baby poison meeting baby kobra in the desert and having this huge fight about how they’re both looking for family “but MINE is more important” “mine’s a KID! could be DEAD!” while jet watches them near perfectly mirroring each other and stares into the camera. exasperated but with plenty of ideas for mischief revolving around their obliviousness.
In their defense, Kobra had a major growth spurt and the two of them had just dyed their hair
But regardless Jet will never let them live those 2 weeks of obviousness down
why does kristen stewart in charlies angels look exactly like kobra kid
Kobra and Ghoul's escape was possibly one of- if not- the easiest escape out of Battery City anyone has had. Hell, they practically waltzed out of the City's front door. That's only because they seemed like the least likely people to even try to escape bl/i's grasp, though.
Because Kobra despite being born in the desert, was born a neutral. Despite not having to take pills, he was under insanely strict training. Despite having the chance to bond with his peers, he chose to train. Despite starting to hang out with Ghoul, never did he seem interested in anything but working for bl/i.
Because Ghoul was a chemestry student from an upper class family. Because he was this wierd awkward kid who couldn't stand up for himself. Because, to a degree, he needed city pills. Because all upper class kids had a phase where they snuck out to The Lobby to feel like hot shit before settling down. Because he was in no way shape or form special.
At the same time, that's what made their escape so brilliant. That's why bl/ind wants to scrub the Fab Four and everything they stand for off the face of earth and history itself so badly- because they're failures. They're worst case scenarios. They're the .1% that should've never mattered, but they do. They're just four teenagers, but they're four teenagers who've bested a whole damn company. A whole damn City. And that gave people hope.
Hope is a lot like gasoline. It sinks deep into everything you own and gets to your brain in a way that makes people think you're crazy or high- or both, really. At the same time, it's crazy flammable- the tiniest spark can set everything ablaze. The tiniest push becomes a revolution when everything is doused in hope. And the Four? The Four will take everything down in flames with them like a tank of hope left on the burner

Drac 1: These people are in possession of unregistered ray guns.
Drac 2: How do you know?
Drac 3: What?
Drac 2: The ray guns aren't registered. Do they really exist?
Drac 1: BL/i's system says no.
Drac 3: But they're right here.
Drac 2: But the system says -
The Girl: Let's just leave.
Kobra Kid: *nods*

your savior doesn’t look a thing like me
fun ghoul has a habit of stealing everything. little trinkets, wallets, jewelry, food, anything he can reach. it was born out of necessity when he lived in the city, because his only way of getting food or money was creeping up behind someone and snatching what was in their hand before sprinting away. now, even after all those years, he still just grabs shit without thinking about it and takes off.
okay so i was thinking about this in a linguistics context, but really, it applies to everything.
Where the fuck are people of color in Danger Days? they should be here. The storyline of the comics canonically takes place in southern california/around la (yes we all know that haven thank you)? southwest?? is like, one of the most diverse areas in the states? Where the fuck are yalls hispanic/latino killjoy OCs? spanish slang, for the love of all that is holy?? There’s so much mexican/spanish slang that translates at least as well to the zones as like, whatever retro 50′s/70′s/90′s americana words [milkshake, shiny, pastel whatever the shit] there are?? and like, indigenous ppl? There’s so many reservations in the southwest, what the fuckin’ hell happened to the Navajo nation?? The Pueblo reservations? Did they all just disappear? There’s so much cool lore that could be built around all the various cultures that intersect in the southwest! I mean, I get that lots of people have never been to that part of the us but like, it’s not as if no one knows anything abt this history? It’s not like there’s no one from arizona or new mexico or nevada or southern california? Has no one ever thought of this? Please tell me i’m wrong? opinions?
op you’re so right
BUT I BELIEVE WE’RE THE ENEMY
it’s a mystery whether kobra kid is really good at using sarcasm with a straight face or just genuinely dumb as hell
