yes! here's a little passage from a maevis fic i'm working on called "believe in one thing (i won't go away)"

"I used to beg for time: three more minutes in the pool, five more minutes in bed before school, ten more minutes in front of the TV with Dad, one more minute in the library with Bronwyn. And then at some point I stopped. Because there was no point in begging. I didn't make decisions anymore. I had no more control. "And I was okay with that. "But yesterday you were driving me home. And I remember thinking 'please just let this drive me five more minutes. Please just let us get a red light over and over again'. And I know right now, you don't feel like you're special.
