“I used to think that all I needed was someone that makes me happy. someone that makes me smile, someone that makes me laugh, someone that makes me feel good. But happiness is a temporary feeling, it comes and goes. Anyone can make you happy, anyone can make you smile, anyone can make you laugh, but very few people can truly understand you. Very few people can truly resonate with your soul and see deeper things than how they appear on the surface. Very few people see beyond, the smiles, the laughs and the goodness. Very few people understand that there is more to love than happiness. Maybe it’s not a case of being with someone who makes you happy, but being with someone who will be there for you even when you’re not.”

i want more roadtrips this year. more time spent at the ocean. more trips hiking up mountains. more time falling in love with the earth, and laughing with people that make me feel at home.
“You don’t have to be perfect to be deserving of love. I know that you question how anyone could want to be with someone like you. Someone who isn’t easy. Someone who carries so much darkness and hasn’t found their way. But here’s the truth - no one is easy one hundred percent of the time. Everyone is difficult in some capacity. Everyone hurts and struggles. Everyone feels lost and has baggage. Those hard pieces might be part of who you are, but they aren’t the only part, and they aren’t the part that matters most. You’re more than the pain you’re carrying. You have so much more to offer than your wounds. And the right people know this. The hard pieces of your story don’t make you undesirable or inadequate. They make you human. You don’t have to be the epitome of mental and physical health to be deserving of a relationship. You just have to be a person. To show up and be vulnerable. To be dedicated to learning and growing and becoming a more full version of yourself. To be open to practicing patience and letting go. To be willing to put in the time and the work. So when your mind gets loud and you find yourself drowning in your thoughts, tell yourself, again and again: I can be struggling and still be worthy of connection. I can be difficult to handle and still be deserving of love. I can feel lost and not have it together and still be someone of value. I’m choosing to show up. I’m choosing vulnerability over fear. I’m choosing to believe, even when it feels fake, that I’m enough.”

“In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they’re still beautiful.”

20% is better than 0%.
Brushing your teeth at least once every day is better than none at all.
A few hours of sleep is better than none.
A few minutes outside for fresh air is better than none.
Writing a few paragraphs of the essay today is better than procrastinating till later.
Doing something is better than nothing (of course there is exception for some cases).
Do things at a pace which makes you comfortable whilst allowing you to make progress.
You can do this!
you know what’s so fucking hot… being able to have open healthy communication and feeling understood, validated and appreciated. ughhhh fuck yeah
