When you’re running out of room and close to losing a match in Puyo Puyo, the game will replace it’s normal music with this short repeating track, with the pitch bulding up to make the whole ordeal more intense. F-Zero Racer #08: Octoman Machine: Deep Claw
Octoman is a representative of Takora, a planet currently at odds with the Milky Way Space Federation. The confrontation between the Federation and Takora grows more tense and drawn out by the day. The Takoraians are surrounded by enemies and are in a very unstable economic state. Due to this, Octoman wants to win the Grand Prix so that he can pay the education costs of his children. He plans to contribute the rest of his earnings to the government of Takora to give it hope for the future.
“One of the hottest acts in the Yo-kai World right now! Make sure to check him out if you can get some tickets.” - Medalium biography
D.J. KJ (really Komasan’s younger brother Jomajiro in a fancy getup) plays this song, a less traditional arrangement of the brothers’ theme music, during an optional rhythm minigame in New Yo-Kai City. I chose the version with japanese vocalizations due to preferance.
“My personal favourite track from back then has got to be Simian Acres. It had a banjo in it which, at the time, no one had done and suddenly all out games had banjos in them so I was quite proud of that.” - Graeme Norgate, Rareware Composer
“The ender of journeys, this vicious Spider made Snakemouth Den its hunting ground while guarding an ancient artifact. Seemingly immortal, it haunted the cave for countless moons before being defeated by a trio of explorers. Although it is now gone, the stories of bugs trapped in its web will haunt explorers forever.” - Beastiary
woah this one has 4 legs. cool, huh?
"It's time to throw down at the hoedown! This masterpiece will no doubt make your jaw drop!" - Bard
The Battletoads make a crossover cameo appearance in the Xbox One (& PC) of Shovel Knight as optional bosses. This music plays after the two phases based on classic battletoads levels, during the final phase which has Shovel knight fight like he’d fight any other boss. Perhaps to emphasise this, portions of Shovel Knight’s Main Theme are included in the song.
“So you're back, you must be thick, you'll lose again, I'll make it quick.” - Gruntilda Winkybunion
