Here’s my version of the ineffable husbands in the outfits from the Good Omens graphic novel promo!
Out of all the black Azi design I have seen, I think this one has become my favorite. Also, awesome, Crowley being shorter than Aziraphale is my jam! I love this so much!
Another teaser for my animatic. I wonder what could be happening here teehee
Fix-it ver. Deadpool
Biggest Aziraphale OOC part of Go3 is probably the fact that you leave him in Heaven, with the Book of Life, completely unguarded and blatantly on display in the middle of a white room, and not even once did Aziraphale attempt to read through it or use it to try and change the course of the future.
Honestly, I sometimes joked after Season 2 that Metatron's offer was "How about you work for Heaven again and you can keep the first edition of the Book of Life? The unaltered version. I'm the only one who has it." *winky face*
🤣🤣
Only a few hours left! The bros are back!
If Book Aziraphale accepted Metatron's offer #1
can book aziraphale sit on me wait who typed that?
oh sweet nuthinnn... she ain't got nuthin at all...
i love the specific type of relationship aziraphale and crowley have in the book. it pretty explicitly says that the 11 years they raise warlock together is consistently spent going on dates, and by year 11 aziraphale seems so caught up in the dating that he’s not even thinking about armageddon anymore.
crowley’s pacing around an art museum, caught in a mild anxiety spiral rambling about how the boy’s too normal and the hell hound and warlock’s birthday party etc etc, meanwhile aziraphale is just sitting there sipping wine.
“Are you going to be there?” asked the angel, nonchalantly.
nonchalantly???? absolutely ridiculous adverb. i love it. because either he’s trying to act like he’s barely interested in crowley being at the party when he very much is—that’s all he’s been thinking about actually, he can’t stop thinking about it, wondering what dashing little outfit crowley’s going to wear—or he’s being genuinely nonchalant about the actual topic of discussion, which happens to be armageddon. because in that moment, he cares more about going to an event with crowley than the end of the world. both options are incredibly gay.
not to mention that literally two pages later a kid calls him a faggot. surely that means nothing. and the paragraph that follows is “Aziraphale stared desperately at Crowley. As far as he was concerned, young Warlock was obviously infernally tainted, and the sooner the Black Dog turned up and they could get away from this place, the better.”
which is probably trying to say something like don’t call people slurs, it makes them feel bad and want to leave. which is true, don’t do that. but after all that??? now i’m thinking ohh you want to get away? with crowley? why, to go do some faggot shit? good <3

@e-rated-beardo (because you requested a tag)
Thinking about Book!Aziraphale’s relationship with modernity and technology, because it is more complex and nuanced than just ‘Old-At-Heart Immortal can’t catch up with the times’. The sense I get is that, unlike Book!Crowley, who takes great care to be always as up-to-date as possible with all the latest trends and tech, because that’s ’the kind of human he’s trying to be’ and also generally useful to his ‘modernized sin spreading’ shtick, Aziraphale is just… very selective about what he’s paying attention to. He doesn’t care that much about modern music or slang/other linguistic changes or fashion trends, so they tend to slip by him…
But if it’s something that is Relevant to His Interests, he has no problems adapting to it fairly quickly. Compact Discs were modern technology when Book Omens takes place, and they made it near the top of Crowley’s list of things Aziraphale will miss after Armageddon. Because Aziraphale likes music, so he whole-heartedly adopted this new convenient human tech for storing and owning music.
Book!Aziraphale was ‘the first Angel to own a computer’! It’s clearly not as modern and up-to-date as the one in Crowley’s flat that he upgrades every few months, but still, in 1990/the late 80’s, Aziraphale was still kinda ahead of the curve on the widespread adoption of computers!
Because it helps him do his taxes and manage his “”business””. He probably has no interest in upgrading it or keeping up with evolving computer technology… unless Humans invent some improvement that’s also Relevant to His Interests. And Aziraphale almost definitely actually uses his computer on a regular way more than Crowley, who, at least in 1990, was only buying computers as a status symbol.
(That being said, seeing as Crowley had become addicted to Googling Himself by the 2005 New Year Resolutions, he probably figured out things he likes to do on the computer eventually.)
And at the same time, yeah, he has does have little experience with answering machines…
Probably not technology he would really care about. If anyone calls him while he’s not home or not available , they could just kinda… fuck off, probably. Although I won’t say he’s totally unfamiliar with what they are, pretty quickly after the ‘stop making noises!’ bit he realizes that he should try Crowley’s other number. That’s why I think he just doesn’t have a lot of experience with them and forgot due to the stress he was under at the time.
But all of this makes me wonder… what level of modern technology has Book!Aziraphale adopted by now? By the 2020’s?
TV!Crowley is actually the most Evil of all Crowleys because in order to get himself and his Angel back home to London he fucks with some poor random bus driver’s route instead of just stealing a jeep from the US Military like a normal person.
He cheated.
I saw this and was like "Yeah, that's Aziraphale talking about his husband."
my favorite part of the book is azi casually traumatizing an entire radio station and only feeling something when he realized he was live. not even sorry that bastard
